must say i was also like that when i was youngster, had few fights even in 90s with cops (when it mattered much more), was like "all cops (esp. special police) are morons without brain, pure muscle 0% brains, aggressive etc. But to say that i changed opinion very much in last few years, esp. since they are mine superior force/unit and similar, subordination.... so many really normal people even in "intervention unit", very humoristic, reasonable, friendly etc. Almost feel sorry how "authority hating" civilians often can't wait to go to 'net and spit anyone braver or different than them ....so actually point of my post was more praise to police for at least trying to enable many people to work, unlike politicians who bring foreign citizens to work in country with higher unenmployement ...cops are our pals and thumbs up, like working with them .... people are often hypocrites (while we are not gonna go into specific cases and of course there are procedures, rules of engagement and laws) but quite honestly corrupt civilians quite many times break the laws and similar... case is of recent two intervent unit cops slapped some 14 years old, comment are often "evil police beats kids" (while i said there is regulations and internal control for any case).... when few years ago 14 old killed few kids in school (mostly girls) many comment were "it is not kid it is maniac" ...so for example

was thinking about some things really is very dubious in any place of this planet if "natural laws" i think present already in Dushan's and Miluten's codes "all people are equal etc etc." (don't even know how it goes, easier to remember some fairytale lines)) are really at place, starting from examples mentioned on sex-crimes etc so in short equal in laws and life opportunities etc.... watch news very rarely, ashamed to say domestic less than some foreign sometimes - but like how it seems both in our country are "complaining on police", those protesting against govt of course, but it seems by news that even ex-PM and ruling party member has some complaints on police work and reactions..... so maybe i was right about police obviously not reaching its target on neutrality and similar, so we should faster move to the future and change it with private - and finally really neutral, not under state or ministry control ) nor oposition - police that would enforce laws ...beep-beep, demonstrations in the city "lets go men" and people just looking at laws and regulations, not caring about anything, are fielded to intervene..... lovely, would prevent many complaints and acusations of partiality and corruption if it would be force not controled by ministry nor anyone from political sector, except objective members, judges and laws... so i command: "mai geri this one!" and he starts to cry "i'm from minitry" and i just say "enforcing the law, you just attacked real officer".....or "i'm oposition" but for same crime "mai geri!" etc. ....but of course would need much more equipment, vehicles etc to effectively do the jobs..... what you think about it principessa, how realistic and how soon? as last - really want to offer some professional theme here, but everything is politics, zoon politicoon etc. - even short courses we went through are helpful, plus i already delt with basic criminal law in lessons... so maybe another friendly recommend to police of any chief - maybe many more younger should be also introduced with lessons and similar .....so to say professionally - many times were under totally in their head crated hostility by people, even raised tone is some form of "aggression" we are taught etc. Raised tone and verbal similarities ) are OK if directed to people they deserve, who are breaking some law, try to ruin your life and are "bad" or doing something out of regulations etc. It is not OK to people who are doing their job or duty professionally and without breaking any regulations..... just to say, any phisical attack, some object in hand would immediately cause my reaction and would be allowed, sapienti sat. most curious of all is that many words of old date, recorded before newer conquest of our country and foreign presence etc. so famous word "kaznac" as Serb court title and from it word "kazna" (punishment) suspected that it was used in some societies like Florentine and Venetian and we had it in middle ages, very rare noble name Altomanus, and all i talked and is very curious and interesting, not put enough light on and bit of mistery - esp. why would slavic (or semi) Serbs and Croats use same case change and 100% same word forms as Romans/elite latin speakers etc... also like how John Fine van Antwerp (among others, medievalists) concluded how Serbs during Dushan (in law we know little about practice) "changed their traditional fines and sistem of material punishments with often Byzantine system of physical punishments etc" indicating then that in those times, not only that we knew some "strange" words from Roman times but also knew some advanced (smell of Roman as well) law systems and fines instead of mutilations (also characteristic for Romans of Byzant) .....so generally our ties with Italian lands, as talked, are not cleared enough and very mysterious to what was imagined, i'd say.... as for map and linguistics in general, not so important nor always correct.... today as part of wc+phone combined arms activity (so just went fast over text titles, not even reading)) noticed how one source had text about word "parche" (piece, part) we use and stated (always annoyed by that, but minor) how it is "turkish" ...of course noticed that and internet confirms that it is "persian" word, we even use in same form as old Persian, but Turks not ;.... but not about that, and no special reason to doubt that word is borrowed from Ottoman (as wikistates that all, even in east-slavic use it etc) just always like that simplification how many words are "Turkish" so i react, Turks (-ics) are generally central (even east) Asian tribes and original language is specific (like Hungarian in some way specific to all others i mean) and many words are Persian or Arabic etc etc.... so when i generally talk about some our forms and words I'm more noble and not stealing anyone's words so i always gladly say that many we used are maybe not ours but Italic and so on ; .........but all that minor but important things aside word is VERY interesting - as we all know it doesn't seem so "Persian or eastern" as words of similar form were/are used in Latin and many derived from it, so quite obvious without being "scientist" western and our words like parcel(a), part, particle etc. Was in latin, indicating some older, deeper root, for example or borrowing between Italics and Persians (but first option rather)....in that sense again is interesting that in some old paper in some old Serbia word was writen "parcel" we would say parcela (or parkela) but Italians would say just like that "parCHe-la" so it is also similar to neo-Italian etc, all talked.... again while origin of word is not so important (in our) and could be from "ottoman" interesting is word per se, as demonstarted and why is generally linguistca slippery and dubious often, generally not here.... but original "Turkish" is something else and many words not turkish at all, always like that notice.... but same source also had text in continuation about some Albanian coastal town and i looked and in start it had line "it has a lot of Ottoman architecture from XIII and XIV century"... and i juststopped reading in disgust, how are they lying people (maybe typo but was outrage, of course Ottos did not control Albania that early..... or it is continuation of old Serb joke i talked many times that many Byzantine things were called "Turkish or Ottoman")) in any way big mistake for text etc.

btw, Etruscans are interesting, stressed many times... even Canosa di Puglia article has mention of Tuscan (or Rassa)) name "Canzna" which very much looks like our word of mention... but generally i didn't talk about it, maybe related, but also dif texts where some institute in both Florence (so Tuscan) and Vinegia (Serb)) had possible name "kazna" derived more from Latin (casa in our menaing also place to keep money) than purely Etruscan, but are close to each.... some even speculated some tie of "Slavic and Etruscan" tribes to mention, but it is not that, maybe some tie before formation of them, and so on..... in any way, number of italianisms in our is scary (even Italians do not use)), often very ancient and illogical in many ways, must have been some connection and unusally good relations with some/many Italian elites, almost like none so that book i caricature many times "principesse" was right to put Serbia right after "Roman empire and Byzant" by some ties or importance in times after collapse, and we are countries with most totally mad and decadent emperors births ....... generally we can all agree it's mystery and unclosed chapter and we will annex you back my principessa, after you suffered so long in hands of various Lombards, Normans and Franks jopin with some theme and help me and then i take you to Marco's grave........ while nice subjects, i'll keep with some new meds things, but nothing new for now so bit of minor things and derailments, just for forums to have something going on, and then less attacks ;

...but - one gotta finish some thoughts even if it means repeats - while book gave perfect title (aiming at Italian military might of the times it was writen at....hahaa)) seriously while that is good and true title considering importance for Italian peninsula of the times - when it comes to actual text and presentations of events (of course i read at least parts concerning us, Anna above all) also of course i don't agree with all said and many things are (just like with many historians so i often disagree regardless of nationality) just consequence or fruit of "times, politics, religious bias or similar" and not really true.... so i really try to offer to people some thinking points and something fresh,as i really think era (and ancient) history needs urgent corrections and double thoughts etc etc.... so, while i also talked - lets strat with minor things from text (maybe i'll remember more points) - remeber how author - who was mature man during falscism rise and more one with XIX c ideas, which were sometimes true, sometimes very not - remember how he said like "...Venice gave great honor to small balkan ruler that pushed his prestige up..." which is typical view in light of then small, weak (to extent) and somehow "second rate" country Serbia, after long foreign rule etc.... of course he aimed at our ruler Stefan and his new marriage with baba-Anna, which was held in manner usual for only "most patrician families" of Venice, pompeus etc.... but author simply didn't stop and think enough at that point - so was Serbia (or Rascia) of the times, considering just that detail, really so small or weaker link in formula? do we have some modern views that block our historical judgements? ....so i intentionally mention how Venice in times of Enrico's life as non dodge, collected tribute of "just few pigs" from some Italian communes and similar while our elites, unknown but lets say, maybe had some imperial monuments and similar etc etc.... also was marriage to Anna (republican, not to mention negative fame) so "prestigeous" for Serbs or was it vice-versa in moment and chance to "stabilize" tense Vinegian position among some monarchies, French, Hungary (for region reasons) .....one example, worth thinking.

as said manytimes, and as someone who read a lot, many things we "know" about era are very dogmatic and product of later times, but maybe not so true for actual time people trying to describe ...so again while like book title and many details from Italy that often "saved our day" (isn't it beautiful that they found Venetian agents hunting Miluten's bankers and money in central Italy, changes a lot....) text are not so great and lots to add or rethink, at least speculatively....as said many times, Marco-Behemoths words in France often sound like "dictated by Serbs" than vice-versa and some our military capabilities are way above what people think about our society intimes etc etc.... never forget also that Byzantine often "weak stand" towards us and westerners (while they had "weak stands" to almost all later when they were in huge decline and free fall....) but in times when they were still strong like Alexios and Manuelos ....except burning Rasand parading - mistake that led to consequences ......but modern Italian fans should know some things better, so glad i mentioned things like how Manuel redirected his huge army aimed at Italy towards Rascia and Hungary (and it was our elites that pushed Hungary into something they were more neutral to etc)... lots to think about....... so for example i often think how Marco with 35000 best French troops raised white flag right after landing while Vukan with just 300 cataphracts pushed Byzantines for years? or how Charles troops in Albania capitulated atfirst battle in Albania, while Miluten with just 300 knights (even drunk) pushed to Brutus camp and Dushan with just 300 went to Athens and retaken somethings even from Catalan company? ........ just joking my Franks, but always like that jokes, even if untrue, remeber Napoleon o-la-la.... seriously hope you all catched some things from all that, always say use own mental initiatives and similar, who likes subjects - lots to rethink there and in anceint times, but always keep some level or realism....
