British Campaign (Bill Dickens), with AK4K v.0.91, played with PG2 2.20 exe, completed in Dec'2010
OK, it's time to try this again. I'm scared after my first try 6-years ago, so I will go on higher level this time. It's still doubtful if it will be passable at 150, but in case of another failure I can still adapt Doug's tactic and start it at 300%.
I'm scared when remember those hordes of enemy planes – what they can do with current AK stats.
I have somewhat ambitious plan to go only with UK equipment all the way, so no fat French tanks this time.
1. Narvik
Pretty easy initial battle, as all my units even didn't get single bar here and most experienced units became 58 exp. fighter. Anyhow, I know from my previous failed attempt of 2004, that it is an illusion for naives and difficulty level will rise high at some stage dramatically - no nice learning curve here - just black or white.
Landed all my units on the eastern shore and directed to the south. During the battle purchased a lot of units for prestige available (and went over the cap easily). Couple of them was deployed next to the western VH/SH to help in closest German VH capturing. Some started from captured German SH (on peninsula - was empty, so I took it promptly with one of destroyers) and joined main forces which went from the south.
Paratroopers took both German airfields in the meantime, but enemy air force wasn't very annoying here, thanks to many snowy turns.
Naval battle was won easily and Warspite was crucial unit which helped to take Narvik VH in the last BV turn. Got some crappy fighter proto.
