I have a question about cap. I play a campaign and in a scenario the cap is 4000. My pp are e.g. 2000 and my army costs 2000. If i capture a flag with 80 pp, my pp will be 2000 or 2080?

Basicaly i can't understand at the AAR how CAP and pp works.
E.G. "if BV: +1500, Orel , cap 4000, 18 turns prestige: 900"
What is 1500 and what is 900?
(Sorry if is not the right place to ask)

Cap affects only the post-scenario victory bonus.

In your example:
You got 2000 pp worth of units.
You got 2000 pp floating.
Cap is 4000 pp.

Now you capture the last VH, so you receive 80 pp, and your floating pp goes to 2080.
You also win the scenario with this move and the post-scenario bonus is say 200 pp. Game checks your army+pp and sees that the result is 4080 and that you're above the cap. You are denied the 200 pp bonus and enter the next scenario with 2080 pp.

If nothing else changed, only the cap would be 4200, then you'd have a combined 4080 (army worth + floating prestige) after the scenario ends. Then the game should give you the post-battle bonus, those 200 additional pp. You got 4080 in total, game tries to give you 200 pp, checks the cap, and realizes that you're capped at 4200, so it gives you only a part of the bonus so that you enter the next scenario with 4200 pp combined, more precisely 2000 in army, 2200 in prestige.
