Soviet Black Sea Campaign (by DF) - played with AK4K efile v.0.83 and PG2 2.20 exe - completed in May'2010
1. Falciu 1
Before the battle purchased my 5 units army consisting of 3 Motostrelkowy and 2 Mortars. Added Kazaki later during the battle when got some extra prestige.
The battle was just like walk in a park, as all units have only foot transport. Romanian opposition was formed mainly by randomly walking units, not very strong, but one of my infantries was reduced to 1 sp anyway, when assaulting the city. I missed BV by one turn, so it was probably possible to get with more careful planning or slightly different army composition.
From other side, with strictly limited prototypes availability, it's not a big deal not scoring BV here or in any other battle, excluding three marked ones.

2. Falciu 2
Before the battle sold Kazaki. Purchased 3x Strelkovy, 25mm Flak and 76,2mm F-22 arty.
The battle was rather intensive, due to big amount of Romanian units presented. They were in aggressive mode, so attacked my position furiously. I tried to withstand initial phase, waiting for opportunity to counterattack. In the meantime was surprised by two hidden VHs, which appeared on the map. Both were rather easily taken with auxiliary bomber support (it was very efficient having Skilled Ground Attack leader). Most difficult part was northern enemy VH capturing, defended by entrenched infantry. I lost one of my units (Motostrelkovy) on its perimeter, after multiple attack of Romanian plane and couple of infantries. Finally took it with my best infantry attack, scoring highly demanded BV with five turns in spare.
Two units got leaders during this battle. Regarding prototype, I cheated a little when got Carrier recon in first shot. Decided to reload and got R-3 SPAD instead. I don't feel guilty, as campaign designer is cheating players as well, switching prototypes off. As only 3 chances for proto are available, I think it's quite fair to reload for some decent unit.
It's only pity that John got such poor reward for his effort (cheapest proto possible) when Gix grabbed top shelf unit (second most expensive available).

3. Kishenev
Before the battle sold Flak. Purchased transports.
Very easy battle. Just walked with my units from the western deployment area directing eastern “exit” VH. Three infantries on foot left quickly behind and made rearguard work.
Auxiliary units placed in northern area acted just as roadblocks, slowing down enemy advance. Anyway, strong Romanian armored division was unstoppable, killing quickly all defenders on its way.
That “exit” VH was taken when reinforcement unit appeared next to it. I attacked with two auxiliaries and my best Motostrelkovy then, blowing up enemy bunker. BV with two turns in spare.

4. Odessa 1941
Before the battle upgraded 76,2mm gun to 120mm Mortar and purchased another one the same type.
Definitely this campaign is coming to be Infantry/Mortar General game rather than Panzer General, but I still hoping to buy a tank someday.
Unfortunately, this scenario was just long and boring battle without any interesting point. Just formed defensive positions around Odessa and waited 20 turns till obligatory loss came. Tactic was very deliberated, just remember to provide ammo for your units and wait. I hope this scenario was the single one of that kind in the campaign, as playing such battles is simply waste of time.

5. Perekop
Before the battle upgraded small 82mm Mortar to 120mm type and Strelkovy to Motostrelkovy. Purchased Strelkovy.
This battle was nice and refreshing after Odessa boredom. The plan was simple. My infantry, supported by a row of mortars, advanced gradually at whole front capturing scattered objectives. Those big mortars proved to be very useful units - just annihilated all enemies on the way. Got easy BV with three turns in spare and two new leaders for infantries.

6. Rostov 41
Before the battle upgraded last small 82mm Mortar to 120mm type.
After some break due to sad circumstances which overwhelmed us here in Poland recently, I'm able to play again, so will try to reduce a gap between me and Gix (I hope he will be busy with Blitz for some time). I think John is out of my range currently.
Gix and DB in their AARs advised to act quickly here, so I tried my best, but wasn't so successful as they were. My core units attacked from the southern deployment area to the north, capturing both Rostov VHs in turn 3 and 4. Groups of auxiliaries attacking form the north captured their closest objectives easily in the same time frame. The only problem occurred on the west, when four auxiliary cavalry units were not able to take the VH defended by deeply entrenched infantry. Only one unit survived, so I must wait for some reinforcements, sending two infantries from the NW area, where battle was (theoretically) won. Before they approached that last enemy VH, German counterattack on the NW objective surprised me. Luckily I had two another infantries close to it, so sent them to help VH defenders. They withstand to the end of battle. When reinforcements arrived I attacked western VH with them and some fighters support. It needed two turns and about six attacks (with two rugged defenses) to clear it finally. Despite some delay, I got still rather comfortable BV in turn 7, and two new leaders for infantry and mortar.
I will visit Kerch next.

7. Kerch
Before the battle purchased big gun, temporarily.
It was rather short small scale battle. I landed in three groups: mortar, big gun, SPAD and three infantries (1 aux) on the south, mortar with two infantries (1 aux) in the center and two mortars with four infantries (1 aux) n the north. Terrain was difficult due to forests, so advance wasn't easy, but I managed to take northern VH quickly, then sent some units to the south, when others fought defensive battle against German infantries supported by nasty DF Nebelwerfer. Central VH was captured by small group landed next to it. Afterward they turned to the south directing last enemy VH. It was attacked simultaneously from both directions, north and south, and captured inside the BV limit (with one turn in spare).
Note, that it was important to score BV here, as it's the second of three scenarios with protos allowed. Unfortunately, I didn't get any at once. Of course such occurrence is intolerable (a missing chance for proto, when you have only three of them for almost 30 battles), so I decided to reload till get something. In the fourth try got finally Gixian's small recon, which will be a solid foundation of my armored forces.
