25 pdr with Sentinel DG4
Wanted to drive as fast as possible along the coast and send small pincers to the VHs in the mountains.
'As fast as possible' soon became a troblesome thing, as the coast is splattered with MG-nests, pillboxes and the one or other armoured unit. Nothing really dramatic, they just slowed me down. On the other hand there was not too much need for a drive into the mountains, because auxes appeared here and there. One group was good enough to take their objective, the other needed a helping hand from slower and/or worn down cores.
In the numerous snowy turns my paras flew to the northwestern edge of the map and tried to take the airport. Had quite some trouble with the defending unit. My AWC-Spit was a great helper here. Afterwards the paras moved behind the northernmost VH. It's in the town, and the StreFi-leader might be helpful here.
Anyway, the cores' drive along the coast left me with 4 GT spare to capture the VH. Time became critical, as on BV-1 the situation seemed unchanged: I shelled the defenders, and they were only laughing while shooting back at me with all they had. A combined attack from the paras, my Spit and a long-range aux-unit finally blew the VH-defending house, and the paras moved in. Remember, the defensive line towards my core was still intact!
In the mountains one VH had been taken, and now the auxes settled for the final attack on the second one. A nasty mortar-unit could be silenced on BV-1, and under heavy losses the defense could be broken at one point. Some counters were stopped by raining shells, and the VH was mine. LTBV, Achilles as proto.

Kept more than 800pp at the bank and wanted to buy me a Firefly during the scen, but forgot in the struggle.
The northern Poles did a great job and took two VH in the mountains. They afterwards defended them against viciously attacking Germans.
In the south american reinforcements appeared, they had no problems taking the first two objectives. The first was an airport, so the RCAF could also join the fight. I had sent my paras down there, and together my forces ran into knee-deep troubles while moving further west, towards another airport. The fight for this VH raged about 4 GT before the resistance could be broken. From this airport my paras got airborne and freed a VH far in the southwest. Meanwhile the Americans, strengthened by even more reinfs, split half. One group moved west towards another VH at the coast, the other group went northeast to a VH at a river. But the resistance was broken, and the south was conquered at BV-time.
The core had major problems to cross the river at the initial front. Deep entrenched and experienced units blocked me, with aty and MG behind them. Around GT 9 I had a wide enough bridgehead on the western side, so my aty could slowly follow the armour and hard fighting inf. There's entrenched aty everywhere, the German drove armoured counters, and countless inf moved up. My AT got worn down to 4 or lesser strength, about half of my inf wasn't battleworthy anymore. The Sherman stood strong, an aty was awarded a leader (a meager Skilled Recon).
With airforce and aty I kept the pressure on the Germans as high as I could, reaching a river near the last German VH at BV-3. From there it became even harder, as the Germans moved armour in, and some Wespe, guarded by FlakPz. As BV-time ticked out, my tk was down to 3sp and I had taken one hex on the other bank of the river. I slowly won the upper hand and made a V on the last possible turn. This. Was. Hard!

A new Hurricane IV joins the core
Decided to move the core along the coast, while the auxes had to conquer the VH in the mountains. Sent them my leadered aty and an inf for help. During the scen more and more reinfs appeared in the mountains, so this seemed to be the right decision. Bridgers built some more ways over the numerous rivers.
Every river-crossing is secured by static defences, and between them some armoured counterattacks took place. The auxes had a hard time in the mountains, and I sometimes wonder about the weapons they use (tanks in the mountains? A 17-pdr?). At least some were mountain-moving Ghurkas, and they saved the day. Last VH was behind a river, and the airforce had to make some attacks to soften up the defenses.
Core made slow but steady progress. I had to look closely for the 25pdr not to run out of ammo, and that no German range 2-unit survived longer than 1 GT. This way I came up to the middle between the starting zone and the last VH at around BV-3.
And now the Paras stepped into the show. They saw only one short action, here in the end. They were flown to the northernmost VH, dropped behind it, smashed the defending house (it's in fact a house without defense) and walked in. BV!
