After all, three years have passed since the 10k mark was reached. In the course of today, we have surpassed the 20k mark.

I saw your post yesterday was the 20000th post but before I could write something about it, I had already forgotten about it
Here's to the next 20000th posts

You're inflating the statistics.
But it's been 4 years and 29 days (not three years).

So what do we need to do to get an extra zero to this count?

You could say that in two years (2019 - 2021) 10,000 posts were reached.
Then, in four years (2021 - 2025), another 10,000 posts were achieved.
This means that reaching 100,000 posts requires a lifespan of over 100 years for most users of this forum...
...or a reversal of the trend and an influx of people playing and engaging in this forum.
I'll put it provocatively --> everyone does something, but for themselves --> lack of joint action, lack of joint fun, lack of players on the forum.

I usually say that all types (of people) are needed.
To have a (live) game, first of all, the game creator(s) is (are) needed.
But once the game is (fully) created the creator is no longer needed to keep the game alive.
Modders, if they appear, are essential, not to keep the game alive, but to keep it lively. (Two slightly different things)
As to players, once they're gone, the game's gone too...
The only type (of people) not required in environments like this one are certain "theorists" that advocate "class" divisions.
People who seek to establish elites, "natural superiorities", "rights of the superiors" to exclude entire "classes".
Read: exclude all which may be suspect of being... ugh... players.
As someone who witnessed the total and complete poisoning of the Panzer General board back at JP's with this kind of destructive nonsense, I'm glad every time I read something at OG's that proves that kind of community poison doesn't find fertile soil around here.

With the push for folks moving to Linux, I think the players are out there.
And the modders too, one of the big selling points of Linux is the ways it can be customized.
Once I figure it out, I will post a tutorial, unless someone beats me to it.
