While Major Heinz started his YouTube Let's Play of our campaign "From D-Day to Deutschland", i decided to play along in the traditional way.

Current scenario: Landing at Omaha Beach
This time i decided to send all my troops, core and auxiliary, to the center and use just one landing area. So i sent the naval transports from the northwest and southeast to the center too. All units got unloaded there in the opening turns while the paratroopers flew to the center of the map. After few turns more paratroopers arrived on the scene. They flew to the center too and the para-engineer built two airfields after landing.
My landing party finaly broke through the enemy defensive line in the center and captured the city. Meanwhile one of my core paratroopers had to fight against rugged defense three times in the row...
After the central city and map center got cleared i split my army into 2 battlegroups and sent them to the northwest and southeast respectively.
I took out the enemy bunkers of the Atlantikwall one after another and moved towards the VHs, while in the north of the map my paratroopers and planes cleared the area and captured the VH. These units were able to stop an incomming Panzer-Division and later all the planes helped the units at the coast.
After breaking through the defensive line the fighting was not that hard anymore and i tried to train some of my troops. My US Marines unit gained 186 Exp only from fighting against the minefields at the shore.
