Thank you Luis :cool but something went wrong. The Efile is actual, but the new campaign is not included. :dunno
Looks like only existing files have been updated but new files have not been added.

:shock :o
Yes, I missed to "add" (stage) new files before committing :bonk ...
I am used to GIT and using SVN is a bit harder for me, because it is not that easy to see all the unversioned files (among 4000 files) to stage them before committing.

It is fixed now and will be updated tonight. Sorry for the mistake :doh

The french 194mm GPF was actually a self-propelled gun with a speed of up to 10 km/h. The other guns had a tracked carriage too but were not self propelled (as far as i know).

I see, thanks. However, it seems that not even the French gun was self-propelled anymore in times of WW2...
...while the Russian guns had no engine in the first place. The tracked carriage was just for easier towing in difficult terrain.

Yes I see - 3 scenarios, two from Csaba's Hungarian campaign and one scenario from the Green Devils campaign. :yes Maybe I should provide some suitable scenarios for stand alone again.

I wish you all a lot of fun and good luck! :howdy

Christmas is just around the corner - time for wishes :) What would you like to see implemented in LXF next time?

a) a historic British campaign 1939-45
b) a fictional German campaign with late war equipment and prototypes, maybe 1944-48
c) a Arab-Israeli War campaign 1948-49
d) another campaign (new or conversion), namely...

or/and

I would have liked to have implemented the following in LXF Efile (countries, units, whatever)...

Thanks for your comment!

The poll is corrupted because people will always vote for the german stuff :lol

I'd like to see the Arab-Israeli War campaign 1948-49 or a fictional campaign in South America. Germany and Argentina against the other South American countries and the USA :yes
EDIT: Or a Soviet invasion of Scandinavia.

A great campaign was Royal Navy, but it was lacking a "marines infantry" part. Even better was Imperial Japanese Navy, which included the marines part. The wish would be:
- navy + airforce + marines
- on the allied side
Doesn't need to be 100% historical.
Example, i could imagine Royal Navy+Marines in East Africa and on Malta, then in East Asia (as "military instructors" ) in the early part of the war.
Then the usual suspects of Narvik/Trondheim/Dunkirk/Gibraltar/Kreta (maybe some navy+airforce only scenarios like hunting the Bismark and a Mediterranean convoy).
Then switching to the Pacific (USA becomes available as secondary nation ? ) for some 1942 and '43 scenarios.
For the late war going back to Europe with Sicily, Anzio, Dragoon, D-Day, and finally finishing the campaign in the Pacific.

IMO:
- perfect = a highly enjoyable campaign
- perfection = a highly enjoyable campaign with a captivating story
- perfectionist = a highly enjoyable campaign with a captivating and plausible story

For the late war going back to Europe with Sicily, Anzio, Dragoon, D-Day, and finally finishing the campaign in the Pacific.
Sounds very good :cool

I also advocate variant A and otherwise agree with Chris's suggestions:
- East Africa -> victories against the Italians
- Norway, Dunkirk and Crete as evacuation scenarios
- Gibraltar as a defense scenario (hold by xy VH's)
- something with an HX convoy in the Atlantic (xy ships must reach the port of Liverpool and must not be sunk) https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/HX-Geleitz%C3%BCge
- Singapore as an evacuation scenario
etc

... or a special German campaign that only deals with a division or a special unit, similar to e.g. the 22nd Infantry Division or the Green Devils. Only differently and if possible with tanks ;) .
But should be a unit that was complet active throughout 1939-45.

Hi friends, thanks for your great ideas. :clap Ultimately, I chose the historic British campaign – a British (land) campaign is simply missing in the LXF ensemble and it has also received some encouragement from you. I will post the progress in the Designers ’Corner Forum soon.

Golothin could you make air force campaigns? Like Luftwaffe, RAF, USAF. Just like sea campaigns.

:notsure it's difficult. A campaign with naval air forces still has its charm. A campaign only with land-air forces as core would be too boring because the necessary variation in scenario/mission types is missing. :2cents

Protect bombers
Intercept bombers
Fighter battle
Destroy ground targets
Search and Destroy

further ideas?

I think that you're absolutely right. As historically there was not much air battles in Europe except Asia. Mine was only a idea. Anyway, I'm waiting your British Campaign. I'm following development process of your campaign. When will it be ready?

Hi,
Have you already converted the Crusade in Rusia campaign (Spanish Blue Division) from Santiago Fuertes? I think you had plans for it.
If not I could try.

Dear Sirs, I have problem with LXF campaign 1940 – 44 WE SEARCH FOR WAYS 3rd scenario London.

The scenario is so slow which that makes it impossible to play. E.G. if I click on an unit to activate, it takes about 4 sec. so that the unit gets activated. When I move the unit, it takes another 10s to move.

All the other scenarios I played before (almost all of them) I have never encountered such a slow-down. I’m playing on i5 – 6200U 2,30 GHz, 8,00 GB RAM, 64 bit system, Windows 10 Pro…

Could you please give me a suggestion?

Hi Iter,
sorry for the late reply. The problem has to do with the AI version 3.0. If the problem occurs again in the future, load the affected campaign with OpenSuite and change the campaign AI settings to version 2.0 for this scenario. After the scenario, please set it back to version 3.0.

Hi Dimitris,
the WSFW campaign was from the beginning a "no-auto refit" campaign like all campaigns I have created in recent years. The campaign is not very difficult and there is enough prestige.
If you have problems with the third scenario (London), please note the following. Have fun! :howdy

My tip: destroy the units which attacking the French ships! :)

The greatest danger, as you say, are probably the British destroyers. You have to attack them with your air force immediately. If necessary, upgrade your bombers to units with high naval attack values. And you probably have to do / accept some high-loss attacks with your bombers. Good luck! :ihope
