Playtest: From D-Day to Deutschland

This thread is about Major Heinz' and mine new collaborative campaign "From D-Day to Deutschland", a allied campaign that will take the player from the beaches of the Normandie to the industrial heart of Germany, the Ruhrgebiet. We just started building the campaign and Major Heinz has finished the first scneario:
Current scenario: Landing at Omaha Beach
Our Core starts in the center, with our core planes at the western map edge. There are auxiliary forces in the west, center and southeast and some planes in the south.
To make it short: in th north i had only 3 aux units and they had a hard time, going nowhere.
In the south i had more auxiliary units and i landed about 6 of them at the beach and drove the rest to the center. I thought is is better to keep most of my units together, which is one of my favored tactics. I can maximize firepower and the units can help each other when their life is at threat.
I was a bit shy and hold my planes back at first. But then i decided to fly a aux fighter to the central city to uncover the enemy AD positions. There was one large 4-range AD and i attacked it will 3 bombers or so, frist with the level bombers, then with my core dive bomber. One turn later my core bombers took the AD out and the sky above the central city was mine! By that time i had complete air superiority.
Meanwhile most of my men got landed at the beach in front of the central city and grinded through the Atlantikwall fortifications. With the naval support fire of 4 and a half (the destroyers range was to short) ships i had a good backing and eventually the central city was captured. I then landed my paratroopers on the road, leading to the northeast, anticipating an enemy attack. I also sent my two tanks, my core para HQ and two aux infantry units to the northeast.
The rest of my army got split into two battlegroups and attack the german fortifications from behind and from the sides, rolling up the field from behind and grinding their way to the western and southeastern cities.
In the north my strong air force damaged all of the german units and they were easy prey for my "boots on the ground".
At that point the battle was already won and i tried to gain as much experience as possible with my core units.
BV after 15 turns was possible, but i played two more turns in order to capture two flagged hex. I think we can adjust (decrease) the turn limits...
After this nice battle it is my turn for the next two scenarios... to be continued...
