German Navy Campaign 1939-42

I have played out this campaign untill the run for Brest which is not playable as no ships were given to me by the scenario to play out. It appears that all the ships were removed after the battle of Denmark Strait as that is what was required by that scenario. All I had left for Brest run were 2 scouts that I have not placed in the hangars of the ships that exited map in Denmark Strait.
Video will be activated on Relaxin n Repairin youtube channel (shameless plug) where you can actually see what happened around the 17th of June or so. Maybe someone can look into this. Thanks.

In the battle of the Denmark Strait, you get the Bismarck and Prinz Eugen added to your core Graf Spee. All 3 of these core ships are "Must Survive". So you can only win the scenario if these 3 ships survive.
At the start of the next scenario - To Brest for repairs - you need to deploy these 3 ships in the 3 deployment hexes in the top left corner and bring them to the escape hex in the bottom right corner.
I hope this helps. I have no idea how those 3 ships could have disappeared between scenarios if that is what happened.

I've experienced the same in some scenarios (not all). The units that I exit throu an exit-point will be gone in the next scenario.

I cannot find any known bugs with Escape Hexes in the bugs topic or mistakes I made in the Suite creating the scenarios.
We might have to ask Luis for help.

Last time I experienced this was in the scenario "Operation STROG (Strait Of Gibraltar)" of "1941-45 KRIEGSMARINE CAMPAIGN" (Atomic E-file). 30 units has to exit in order to get a victory. I did, and in the next scenario they were all gone. I have the latest version of OG and Atomic.

Hmmm, when I play tested the scenario everything was fine and I kept my core units. They exited through the escape hex and in the next scenario they were there of course. Maybe a new bug?

I played this out couple times starting from Denmark Streit (my last save). If I don't exit the ships I lose. If I exit all the ships they are removed. On the 19th I have the video and what happened you can take a look at it then. I get free clicks haha.
Also should there be some music (background music) in this? Under options Music there is GPLAY1 and Gplay2. I have not found these files thus there is no music. I solved this by rerecording PG2 sounds and installing it in my copy of OG.
Thanks.

Can I have a save-game prior to the end of the scenario to debug that issue ?

You'll get the same result in the Narvik scenario. Here you need to exit five units in order to gain a victory. If you exit your core unit (KM Admiral Graf Spee), it will be gone in the next scenario. You can download my savegame her:

I made a first test and found that the 2 core units effectively don't show when carried over the next scenario but they appear normally if you load the gf_003_Victory_100%.xcsv created at the end of the scenario, because the 2 units are not lost, they are just hidden on next HQ, so tomorrow I'll be able to find the reason and eventually fit it.
Today I came home a bit late and tired ...

I opened the save file in OpenSuite. Changed status from "Retreated from map" to "Not deployed (HQ)" for the core units. Now they are ready for next scenario. I'll use this workaround until you have a fix for it. Like I mentioned earlier in this thread, I'm pretty sure this problem doesn't appear in all exit-scenarios. But I'm getting older, and my memory is not like it used to be, so I can't remember wich

I got to find why sometimes escaped units show up in next HQ and sometimes they don't
The reason is because the ship has and occupied hangar, and when they escape using the EH, one of the many conditions checked, was misplaced and thus bypassed. Until I can release a new version, and you meet this issue, can exit OG and load the last "CamName_nn_$$$ Victory_XXX%".xcsv file to go on.
I am trying to fix another strange bug, crashing the game when you buy a given unit and then click to select a different class to buy another unit. Another strange issue never met or reported by anyone

Yes, I described it - I showed it on the video (set -- video quality to 1080p)
I thought you don't have time and didn't remind you

I apologize Grzegorz, I surely explained badly
I usually, don't give up on difficult problems, but sometimes they are really hard to figure out the cause, and thus they take me more time than my available free time.
And this one "purchasing crash" is for sure a very old issue from the time OG added showing all transports and containers that the unit selected to buy could use.
Of course I watched your video but most of the time (actually always) it's easier for me to have a save game to replicate the issue, specially for those issues that sometimes happen and sometimes don't.

Of course, you don't have to explain yourself --> I understand that it takes time to solve problems (that's why I didn't remind you about it) --> you wrote that no one reported ... and that's why I showed this entry
In this case, there is no save game yet --> These are the first actions in this campaign (purchasing units) --> it doesn't matter what class of units you start with and what unit in this class you choose --> the video shows the mechanism (not a specific case)
Such a stupid thought --> different suites were used to create the campaign and modifications --> so different programming tools --> different distributions of Microsoft Visual C++ --> are they 100% backward compatible with each other?

@Luis: thank you for pointing out a workaround so fast.

No problem my friend, the crash happens because an attachment is checked against a badly set up unit (has no equipment assigned) which is due to some initialization not properly done when updating one of the several list used at that time (units bought, units shown to pick, list of transports, list of containers, ...)
Jaro sent me a bug-tracker-mail attaching all material needed to debug the issue, and I just need a relaxed time to check thoroughly every step to see were the error is done. But I am on the way, so I hope to catch it soon.
