Hello,

I have just replayed People's General and it was a welcome revisit from the 90s. I remember reading about a mod being worked on around that timeframe where the goal was to mod PG1 and PG2 into the then new engine of Peoples genereal. I have googled and found the peoplesgeneral site.

I found the WWI mod which I think is related to the PG1/PG2 conversion/mod somehow for PeG, but I notice the readme file that is included refers to the WWII mod which I believe is the PG1 and PG2 mod?

I would love to try out the PG1/PG2 mod, but I cant find it, so if anybody could help me out there that would be great.

I have also tried to play the WWI mod, but due to the ultrawide monitor I have it is almost impossible to play without inducing an aneurism. I tried to put the ddraw.dll file into the same folder that have the exe file for the mod, but the hotkeys do not work for switching between fullscreen or not.

So need a little bit of help or info there as well.

Thank you in advance. I would love to sink my teeth into this mod I read about 20 something years ago. (God, I am old)

First post on top of this PeG area, titled Peg-Downloadpages, has a link to... well, a download page.
It lists campaigns made by the PeG community here, and it does include a WWI title.
Somewhere a bit pass middle of scroll down.
The WWII material lies on the bottom of the page.
But there are much more subjects...

As to the question about resolution let us wait for someone who is really a PeG specialist, which is not my case at all.

Hello, there is no PG 1 or 2 mod.
If you download and instal a mod from the peg downloadpage a file is included for bit better resolution.
But on a large screen the picture isnt really good.

Important Hotkeys:
CTRL+mousewheel-up switches between 4:3 and fullscreen
CTRL+mousewheel-down switches between upscaling on/off
CTRL+SHIFT+mousewheel-changes gamespeed
ALT+ENTER switches between fullscreen and 'window'
Compatibility settings : Administrator, (winXP-Sp3 - not always needed )
