Today I woke up in a slightly different way.
The house was rocking; Minerva was moving about the bed and that confused me a bit at first.
But the rocking was way too strong to be the work of such a small cat.
5.3 Richter strong... fortunately it was relatively short.
No reports of damage throughout the country but I heard things clinking about and Apolo is still frightened more than an hour later.

Iron Maiden - The Trooper (Official Video)
The song is based on the
Charge of the Light Brigade at the Battle of Balaclava 1854, which took place during the Crimean War, and inspired by Lord Tennyson's 1854 poem of the same name.

love this song, can't be it's 50+ years old.... this is how I imagine/get some "Balkan feel" some strong drums, ethno or ancient breeze or wind, old themes, Greeks, Macedon as name says ; .....not some "orient express" feel or Turcisms etc
(but what to do it is surely part of region))
so in that ancient sense in name of our old capital 1330-1355
and only country outside which properly respected and marked our emperor HIM
(beside Montenegro)) love song great one, heard it on radio and decided to share - I as I would break something but you can enjoy it in sense explained, play it loud and impress your usual German or Nordic neighbors
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4xdfEzFbrc
....50 years and more, wow

...since this isn't really some "world language" (it is in Croat BTW, not our ekavian so i'll not call it Serbo-C now) few explains for our readers, and listeners in own style, we all love history......
so more about some region now known as North Macedonia not so much Macedon in some Greek sense.... in one moment dudes say:
"Immortal, as a heart that beats for centuries
it has never belonged to foreigners,
may its flag fly eternally."
....while i like this epic part of song which clearly mentions HIM
etc. laughing matter is that N. Macedon actually almost always "belonged to foreigners"
Long Byzantine rule, Serb rule of few centuries (obviously Croats authors did not consider Serbs as foreigners)) then 500 years of Turk rule and, after Serbs "liberated it" again another 80 years of our rule until it become some state
....but laughs aside like this part again, great that Croats mentioned us in that sense ;
last fun fact - singer and frontmen is Croat musician named (and born after ww2) Adolf, no less
and no joke. but known as Dado, surely one of strongest vocals of times
and hats of for "historic touch" on region our elites so long wanted etc and of which we are so prominent part..... if you followed my posts and love both history and music - one theory is that actual "Serb" name might be not from north etc. but from Macedon, maybe even related to very old Celtic "Serds" ; enjoy..... no half-naked chicks or trafficing
but very strong "Balkan feel", bravo Adolf and guys
