As for the scenario-trouble... When enemy turn starts the info window (side, current turn and suchs) says to get any flags. And really, whatever the AI takes what is mine (normal flag hex, supply hex or VH) it triggers automatic victory for the AI. I saw no option about that in the Suite. Not sure if an outer cfg file cause this... Would check all nevertheless.
Does the player hold any VHs at the scenario start that the AI also must capture/own? If not, the scenario is basically "won" already for the AI and it wins by taking any flagged hex.
So the player needs to hold a VH at scenario start that is also checked for AI in suite.
There is also another technical solution. In case you don't want the player to visiually hold any VH at scenario start (and you don't want to use the 'hold X VHs for a win" victory condition) you can create a invisible VH, without a flag in a corner of the map somewhere. For example, if the scenario is on land you create a ocean hex with a VH, owned by the player, checked for both sides, no flag, and nobody will ever notice in the game. It is important that the AI can not enter the hex with a unit by accident.
