Unfortunately the efile from the game installer must be very outdated. It was not possible to update the efile properly at the website, so the only thing I could do, was to upload at dropbox.
I don't know, is there any service I could upload the efile to, that you can use also in China?

The entire set of maps (1593 maps as of November 10, 2024) in a single .exe file --> weighing 1184914119 bytes --> can be downloaded from the Polish server.
Question: is such a large .exe file available for download for Bill Yan?

The new version of the efile and the final version of Weltkrieg will be available next month and I can take a look into the future now.

I am thinking about deleting my old campaigns because they don't live up to the standard that Weltkrieg set. I will never play my old campaigns again and I don't want to maintain them. In my opinion a designer should play campaigns once a year to check for bugs and I don't want to do that for the old campaigns. Of course I am not planning to delete campaigns from other designers or collaborative campaigns although the same issues apply here as well (like Major Heinz has not played his campaign ever since he released it in 2020!).
So there's Weltkrieg, my new benchmark when it comes do designing campaigns, and then there's the rest.
Btw, does anybody like the name Weltkrieg? When looking for a name for the campaign I thought everybody knews what Blitzkrieg means and Weltkrieg means World War, so I thought it would be a fitting name but it does not sound cool Should I change it?

Here are my future plans:

- relese new version of the efile in July 2025
- release new and hopefully final version of Weltkrieg.
- ATOMIC BLITZKIREG will be renamed BLITZKRIEG PLUS. I will reserve the ATOMIC label for campaigns that reach the same standard as Weltkrieg. I hope there is no such campaign as Blitzkrieg Plus for an other efile

- My next campaign will be ATOMIC BARBAROSSA. I always enjoyed the scenarios against the Soviets in 1941 and 1942 the most. The core is not yet too big and too powerful and you have a nice development of new units. So BARBAROSSA will be a extract of these scenarios from the Weltkrieg campaign. There will also be a new scenario on the unused Perekop map and two new scenarios on the Vyazma and Rostov maps.
And since I have still two map numbers booked I plan to add one new map and scenario the campaign. At the moment I am leaning towards Brest (Brest-Litovsk) because Brest was attacked on the first day of Barbarossa and this would give us a new starting point for the campaign.

- Next year I plan do build a ATOMIC GRAND ALLIED CAMPAIGN, a campaign similar to Weltkrieg for the western allies. The campaign will continue in 1945 with Operation Unthinkable against the Soviets. One new map should be Mareth, Tunisia. (And maybe I will finish my Ruhr Area map which I started years ago and which is roughly 50% finished but untouched for 2 or 3 years.)

I'll tell my story on this forum (JPs)
A long time ago --> I made a new drawing for map 12 (map 1201) --> there was a story that we were getting rid of SSI elements (the icons were replaced based on this).
The community didn't like this drawing (brightness, colors...). A little later, I made map 1267 and wanted to remove 1201 - and publish a new, larger map (1267) under the number 1201. All these maps are named Ciechanow.
I was told --> no --> We're giving you a new number (1267).
We currently have three Ciechanow maps --> 12 (SSI), 1201 (a map based on 12 - changed graphics, no terrain changes), 1267 (a new, large map based on wartime maps).

In my opinion, a designer should play campaigns once a year to check for bugs, and I don't want to do that. That's for the old campaigns.

What if the author is dead?
What if they're absent?
What if the author has made 70 campaigns? --> how many campaigns do you think the author should make --> to test them --> every year?

In a normal community, players should play campaigns and report if something is wrong.

Most notable the Weltkrieg campaign has been finalized and you now can play the biggest Open General campaign ever with 85 scenarios on big maps!
There are also few new units and icons in the efile as well as some minor tweaks.

I can confirm there is indeed a bug crashing the game at the purchase screen. When I go back to version 25.02.01.0 from 1st February of the game the bug is gone. So it must be indeed a bug in the latest version from 26th February. I giess I was playing with the slightly older version but I don't remember the changes that were made in february.

But you can try this workaround. Buy the unit(s) with transport from one class. Then exit the purchase screen and get back to the overview of your core army. Then buy units with transport from an other class. This way the game does not crash.

I reported it (recorded a video and described it), then reminded him...
The last response was this:

No problem my friend, the crash happens because an attachment is checked against a badly set up unit (has no equipment assigned) which is due to some initialization not properly done when updating one of the several list used at that time (units bought, units shown to pick, list of transports, list of containers, ...)
Jaro sent me a bug-tracker-mail attaching all material needed to debug the issue, and I just need a relaxed time to check thoroughly every step to see were the error is done. But I am on the way, so I hope to catch it soon.

At least there is a workaround for now. Close purchase screen after every purchase and then open it again for the next purchase.

The last game engine from February 26, 2025 (only this one --> I checked it on several previous engines) exits to windows, without any warning in the following situation

When after buying units from only two different classes --> I go to the command center --> then I renew further purchase from the third class --> then I go to the command center again (or e.g. I put previously purchased units into the game) --> I can continue buying --> without a glitch

I put together a draft of the campaign path of the Barbarossa campaign. Most scenarios will be pulled from the Weltkrieg campaign. There will be a handful of new scenarios and two new maps. Brest will be a new map and then I will simply take that map and add some land to the northeast for a follow-up scenario and map. So basically there will be two maps that share some of the same area.
Starting with two new scenarios gives the player the chance to build a core and the bigger the core the less I have to change the existing scenarios.
All new scenarios will take place in 1941 though, because maps are missing for 1942 and 1943. But it is what it is

A long time ago I made maps for the Finish-Russian border region around Salla and Alakurtti and I am thinking to expand them into a 3K map. That would be easy because I simply would have to add some arctic terrain to the north and south of the map(s) and since there are basically no roads and cities, it would be very easy. It would be another 1941 scenario though. I will decide about this later.

Yes, there will also be triggers. It will basically be a campaign with Weltkrieg rules and settings.

If it is possible to start a campaign with a choice scenario I also want to have three different starting core armies. One infantry division, one tank division and for air marshall hoza some planes and airborne units.
I will have to see how much prestige the infantry divison costs and then create the other two core armys. The infantry division will be the biggest army, because the units are cheaper, but all armies will have the same overall prestige value.
But I have to check if it is possible to start the campaign with a choice screen.

I am thinking about the upcomming campaign every day and every day I have new ideas. I now think I should make a Eastern Front campaign that starts in 1939 instead of Barbarossa a campaign that starts in 1941.
Instead of making two maps of the Brest area I could make one of Brest and one of Warsaw and then add 5 scenarios in 1939 to the campaign.
The Brest map could be used twice (and both new maps Brest and Warsaw, could also be used in 1944 in a potential Soviet campaign).
Starting in Poland 1939 gives me also the chance to finally use the Bydgoszcz map, which so far I did not use.
The campaign path would look like this, with 5 scenarios added and one scenario (second Brest 1941) deleted:

Me too! Developing the core between 1939 and the end of 1941 is really the most interesting phase of the game for me.
Maybe Warsaw could be even two scenarios - the map is big and the core is still small. But that I have to decide when time has come.

Here's the updated path of the planned Barbarossa campaign. For now I'll dismiss the early scenarios in 1939 and will concentrate on the core of the campaign, the Geman-Soviet war. Instead of a new Warsaw map there will be a new winter map for a Operation Wintergewitter (Winter Storm) scenario. A winter map needs less than 20% of the time that a Warsaw map would need and I want to speed things up. So far there are 34 scenarios. Of course more scenarios could be added later if new maps arise.

I will also copy here what I wrote on discord: I was thinking about no-auto-refit. While I dislike no-auto-refit, with healer units it makes for interesting play me thinks. You don't need to spend prestige to refresh your units and could carry over damaged units and heal them in the next scenario. But there is a big problem: Planes. Planes can not be healed by a healer unit. And repairing planes takes a lot of prestige and it is impossible to calculate how much prestige is needed. If you have 3 badly damaged planes the cost can be 1500pp or more. This really hampers the usage of planes in no-auto-refit mode. Soon you are in a downward spiral. One scenario with several badly damaged planes and you will not recover because you have no prestige left to buy new units, for upgrades or you don't have enough prestige to refit your planes and can not use them in the next scenario(s). So either the player don't use core planes or the idea has to be dismissed
Any ideas?

Anyway, here's the updated campaign path. Most scenarios will be pulled from Weltkrieg. There will be 5 new scenarios and 2 entirely new maps (and one more map that was not used in Weltkrieg).
