i'm hopeless i know, put down tomatoes kids :p like it or not, here is some nice "song" for writing epics or just charming saturday night whatsoever...

i use such music to create scenes as much as it's interesting when reading historic material so it works both ways.... if you listen it, tell if it isn't suitable for how i see it... somewhere in year 1454 small army of Nikola Skobaljić is taking battle positions - first part of the song without drumming section, next scene with drums - sultan Mehemed II strong army taking positions AND third scene where both orchestral parts join is start of battle, both sides closing in....... nice i'd say :yes

https://youtu.be/goKsWi8TUu0

now throw your tomatoes as I'm gone :) enjoy whatever you like with proper music I'm so predictable, when putting on headphones - see you with other instrumental sometimes....

yeah, great one. 10 days ago marked exactly 30 years since death in crash so i mentioned him, though I was just 10 then :) arguably blues-rock is greatest sub genre of "rock" and energetic performers as he was making it even better... it's not about quality of his act and rating but just like how it sounds estetically as seen in that great example, could listen it long on repeat :)

not expert not big listener of any popular music now unlike you but if I had to mention someone from US it is him :yes

OK some more guitar heroics, since i see that's the prevailing mood around this house :)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pINh_9TbPWQ - Popa Chubby with his signature tune, San Catri
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ope4OdE9O8E - a killer instrumental from the kings of weird, Ween and A Tear For Eddie
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kc8H6USGR90 - Eddie Hazel to whom the previous song was dedicated was know as The Other Hendrix, this clearly shows why
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMxSj7la6lA - Luther Dickinson with the North Mississippi Allstars covering Jimi
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWnxpAd2dm8 - and how about some bass heroics?

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Voodoo Child (Slight Return) (Live In Maui, 1970)
And the one from the day before, Voodoo Chile - without return - unfortunately hard to find on the nets...
Here's a cover from a tribute "Electric Ladyland" album.
Seems to have "captured the spirit", albeit (slightly) less energetic than the original.

There's also this fellow answering a forum/blog query about the theme with a link to the unedited recording (downloadable as MP3).
Its forty minutes of jam session, including warm ups, and of course the fifteen minutes that got into the album are there.
Of course, the album's edited version sounds much more impressive... and clean (of clapping hands at least)

It's a little of topic, but here is a little quiz. How many of the 72 (73) bands hidden in this picture can you name?

Play the quiz here: https://www.sporcle.com/games/mmadog18/ ... e-72-bands

Find a bigger picture and results here: http://www.minornotes.com/72bands.html

If you g**gle for "72 Hidden Bands", you will find more sites.
