US has 37 transports and i have only 14 + one mule + one empty transport weights available... so i have to stuff different transports into the same weights....
Sorry, but i don't discuss the values of my units or the units itself and won't change anything
That's one of the reasons why i have my own efile. Its a fantasy efile where everyone can have horses

I read that only 150 of the B-26G went to UK through lend-lease.
I also read that for example the 320th Bombardment Group (Medium) and the 394th Bombardment Group (Medium) of the USAF use B-26G.

I for one placed transports based on the likelihood of being in use by the same units. Just as an example, I have a weight for trucks, another one for half-tracks, another one for tractors and another one for wagons. I even have weights available for helo transport, even though is not really used. It is just a matter of mixing.

As for ships, like I said, I am more of a fan of what both me and Golothin used, to use categories of ships, not just simply dump them into capitol ships. I do understand that your e-file is not very "navy" centred and as such ships might not be a priority. Furthermore, I do not enjoy the ships icons, they are quite different in design from the land and air units. Gustlik (God rest his soul!) made a lot of good ship icons, that I now use.

Btw, I also tried the German from El Alamein to Alexandria campaign and you have a broken icon for an italian unit. As soon as you fire up the campaign, a very big "!" shows up on it. Also, the use of mines as units instead of layers is soo... old fashion, for lack of a better word...

I don't understand. You want me to change my efile to match your efile/LXF efile? So all efiles have to be the same?

I like the Matze Kessler ship icons more.
I like all cruisers and battleships in one class like it is in Basekorp efile.
I like the usage of mine units and/or mine layes depending on the situation.
I like USAF B-26G.
If it is such a pain to examine my efile, then just don't do it
If it such a pain to look at the ship icons, then just don't play it

You have to download the latest efile version from this thread, see link in first post. The efile version which was uploaded at 26.6 at OG hompeage is broken and misses icons which are part of the equipicons files. I can do nothing about the broken efile at OG homepage
I constantly work on new icons which will be added to the equipicons with every update i announce in this thread. Until today i have already added/created/compiled 90 new icons compared to the latest efile version from 5th November.

No, the costs are the same in all campaigns (at the moment). Building a bridge, airfield, port, station or fortification always cost you 25pp.

I will be happy with the ML-20, it's my favorite gun in the game. But i guess i will choose the radar cruiser first. It has a spotting range of 7 and i want to test it. But generally i have no idea which one of the four choices will be the best. Then tank has a value like a early Tiger but with a base strength of 12 it will be nice to upgrade it later Same with the Romanian 'Mihai Viteazul' pocket-battleship which later can be upgraded to a Yamato for example.

I think i will add such a choice in the final stages of the campaign too. Maybe at the Invasion of England

Whole month passed after my last report, and now I'm back with another six battles completed. It's very well designed campaign, but battles are now too massive for my liking (I prefer campaigns with shorter path and smaller core, which allows me to advance faster, spending no more than 2 hours on scenario). Currently I'm struggling due to limited time and must split bigger battles on several sessions to complete them, so it is going rather slow. However, I have advanced too far to give up - I will try to go as far as possible. It's still 14 scenarios left, so I will finish it in 2-3 months (if will not be beaten somewhere and kicked-out of campaign).
In this run I have possibility to test some Wunderwaffen from Atomic repository - I have never seen some of them, like for example fat ME-323 "fighter" or the super bomber with Fritz. The V1 batteries are nice addition as well, with extra Support (+2 ammo), work as long range bombers immune to AD fire or fighter attacks and don't need to care about weather.

I understand that some people like to play smaller scenarios and short campaigns and, of course, time is also a factor.
But for me it is quite the opposite big maps, more scenarios, more fun

You core looks rather small. Did you use prestige for refits during scenarios?
I also see you use no combat support units.

The Me 323WT fighter, called (WT = Waffenträger, weapons carrier) was real. Only one was build though. You can find some photos. It had 2 MG cupolas in each wing and a "MG tower" in the nose and some more MGs. It should fly along and protect groups of Me 323 transporters. Espeically in the later scenarios 1945 - 47 you will find many more prototypes and rare units and units that existed only on paper
I have many units in the efile which have not been in the game before.

Hmmm, i never used V1 myself, but you are right. Seems it is too cheap I guess with two of them you can take out any enemy AD or artillery on the map

I see at the last scenario of Major Heinz campaign, that one of the new units that will be available, 1 fighter ( Bf 109G-6N) has all weather ability but did not have the "can't intercept air units". Is it your's choice or is a mistake?

I don't remember I checked all all-weater fighters of all nations and few miss the "can't intercept air units". I will set the unit special for all of them.

While the Weltkrieg campaign is more than halfway finished and the rest of the campaign is 100% planned i can take a look in the future. I finaly decided what will be the next ATOMIC campaign. It will be a large western allies campaign, with only big maps, a healer unit, proto choice and the other features from my previous campaigns. The first part of the campaign will pretty much follow the historic path for about 20+ scenarios:

Low Countries and France
Narvik
Battle of Britain/Luftschlacht um England
Greece
North Africa
Italy
Normandie
Low Countries
Germany

The second part of the campaign will start with Operation Unthinkable, an attack on the Soviets around Berlin. Then around 10+ scenarios against the Soviets will follow.

Actually i had planned to stop map making and concentrate on campaigns when Weltkrieg is finished but i already know i will need few new maps for the allied campaign too. For example, the is only one big Italy map and i want another scenario there. Then i had a map of the german Ruhr area halfway finished more than 1 year ago. I pretty much abandoned this map, but now i plan to finish it.
It would also be cool to have a accurate and zoomed in invasion beach for D-Day/Overlord.
We'll see

Overall the campaign will have something between 30-36 scenarios. I have not found a fitting title yet.
Maybe i will just call it "Grand Allied Campaign" or so.

hex_tiledecors3.png is a file that comes with the game and that should be in the opengui folder after installation. Do you play with tiled maps?
Maybe you can take a look into the folder. How many hex_tiledecor files do you have? There should be one for every climate zone = 22.

hex_tiledecors3.png is a file that comes with the game and that should be in the opengui folder after installation. Do you play with tiled maps?
Maybe you can take a look into the folder. How many hex_tiledecor files do you have? There should be one for every climate zone = 21.

I do have 22 hex_tiledecor files (from 0 to 21) in folder c:\opengen\opengui.
The sequence of errors returned each time I try to progress after Moscow scenario is:
cheking to download map 1039
cannot download /MAP/0.jpg
error code: 12007
could not load c:\opengen\opengui\hex_tiledecors3.png
could not setup map

Ok i see. There was a bug with map download which has been solved. I don't remember if it was solved with the newest Open General full installer or later.

You can download the newest Open General 0.93.4.RC5 (Release Candidate) at Luis site: http://luis-guzman.com/
Put all files in your game folder and use OpenGenRC.exe to start the game.

There is also the mapfinder website were you can find and download all maps: http://mapfinder.gilestiel.eu/ Search maps by number and put into map folder.

If the map image is missing - the Open General engine works as follows:
- first he wants to download a map from available servers
- if the servers are unavailable or a map cannot be found on them - uses the data saved in the scenario to generate a map (tile map) based on the image of the hexes according to the terrain and weather conditions The relevant png files must be in the opengui folder

Tx for kind reply. I've downloaded new Demyansk maps (1039.jpg + 1039.png + 1039.mapx). No errors about maps now.
Still these 2 errors remain:

Does the error mean that you can not play the scenario?

What is the efile date/version you use?

What is your Open General version? You can see it when you you hoover your mouse above the second to last icon on the right in main menu:

After modifying the Forward10.xscn scenario - assigning the 1039 map -> did you save the campaign with the Forward.xcam file?
I see the date July 16, 2020, 20:23:30 - as the modification date All other campaigns have later modification dates

This is Major Heinz campaign, i didn't do anything. When i create the report with Suite, it shows the maps. And reitor is the first to report the error.
Several people played the campaign. I played it more than once. I have no idea what can be the problem
The modification date is July 2020 because Major Heinz never touched the campaign again. The other campaigns have later modification dates because most of them have been updated (I try to play every of my campaigns once a year, so i can see if everything works fine).

No maps are missing in the report:

If not, look further ..

symatyk, how can you create this report with missing maps? Did you download the newest efile version? What is your efile date/version?
All files of this campaign are in the download that is available at dropbox. Link is in the first post. I have no other files.
Let's wait and see which versions of the game and efile reitor uses.

[EDIT: i downloaded and checked the newest efile version from dropbox and even the obsolete broken efile version from og homepage and in both versions no maps are missing in the campaign report. I really have no idea what can cause the problem ]

In my version everything also looks fine.

Depending on where you download the e-file - you will have different / different Forward.xcam and forward.xcam files
A bug -> not seeing assigned maps was in the past
It relied on a mismatch between the Suite and the game engine
On the C: drive - the entire game installation has been downloaded
On the D: drive - only the e-file downloaded and attached to the Polish installation



There are two problems
Wrong Forward.xcam file and scenario files done / created in wrong Suite (now I won't say exactly when it was)
and missing all tile map files

Please always use the newest versions of the game and efile. There is only one legit ATOMIC efile version, that's 26th February 2022 version, downloaded from dropbox. As i have said, i checked it again last night and it works and maps are shown in report
Last year i asked to remove the obsolete efile from og installer and homepage, but it was not possible

I'm not fighting with you .. I'm just saying that the Forward.xcam file with the e-file release (02-26-2022) is older than in the previous installation ...
Of course, it can work for you ...
I have virgin installations - I haven't played it, I haven't modified it ... it only shows the difference between these files ..
I downloaded from the dropbox from your link on 02/26/2022 -> you can see it in the picture -> I downloaded and installed it at 20:23 -> the next day I wrote to you

The installation version was installed earlier -> you can see -> 18-01-2022 at 12:11 -> there is a newer file there

Send me the last save of the game (of this campaign) - and AUTOSAVE_OPENCAM.XCSV (SAVE folder)
Can you use the Suite?

In fact - it's a mysterious thing
Does not load the map image, does not load the tile map
Share your game save with someone for analysis and checking ... otherwise there is no point in looking for a crash
You can also download the entire game installation from scratch and install it - necessarily in a different folder than before. Transfer your saved games and try to play.
I shared this scenario as an independent one -> picture 1039 is loading, and so is the tile map
