so after checking report, must comment though didn't follow as much as last year... both Phoenix and Milwaukee the champs (played all without Middleton, important player) are out in somehow unglorious way, "beaten as kids" as we say. Esp Phoenix so maybe - i change tune - it is time for Paul to retire
Giannis for ex-champs was bad, watched a bit, but not drastically as whole Phoenix team last night so I started with laugh... game 7 vs Dallas decided practically in first half and they scored only 27 (!) points which is bad even for European basketball and shorter games... alas, it is as it is one of the things circus delivers and more unexpected sport results of the year. Not because Dallas and Boston won again, but the way series ended with bad games 7 and laughable results
nonetheless, good luck to esp Dallas now, if you didn't know by now Dončić of Slovenia, one of the best "old continent" players now, is Serb through father... not big fan of Slovenia due to uneasy political past and many separations and wars we had we them, they initiated (so even Liliputh left us)
but like them in basketball way and let them have him as they are (as I hear only) willing to give females not only to American billionares and ex-presidents but to us as tribute as well
... since i got comical and personal in my way - always PC - must add that I also liked Jason Kidd as player in 90s - he is now Dallas coach - and must say still do not believe his father was black man as he is much lighter skinned than even his assistant coach Kokoškov - btw, Serb and our ex-national team coach and ex-Slovenia coach and ex-Fenerbahce coach among other things
- not to mention Kidd's interesting, light eyes...
have fun, had to comment this results and of course it is good to have new champions and fresh faces, but very comical and circus like
hope GSW vs Dallas will be fun if I catch something... again had to comment this and put some fun and personal notes in light spirit, after all I commented Klopp as well (and his teeth))

Para, thumbs up for non strictly sport story... seems like GSW is the team this year (and they have one of our national team players, but with marginal role....)
....not big fan of tennis myself, but looking forward to Nadal vs Đolo aka "Djokovic" match in two days
too bad just it is at noon, like in some western movie
it is working time IF anyone thinks about that in happy world of French milionaires and tennis fans ; .... anyway - it is most fair considering all events and "politization" in last few years that 2 of them always meet against in grand slams and decide it that way, until they play.... and until they play they are still better than many "kids" ; ....sport of tennis almost became a bit of farce recently, latest Wimbledon stories (every day on sport sites, almost bore) just adding to it all started few years ago... good thing they are both in decent form, bad thing time of the match. Who ever wins "the most titles" both great players for all times
....considering other aspects of life and politisations - well no sugar in our supermarkets for days now but that is for other threads blah, blah, blah should i go to Hungary for example just because I like my cofee sweeter etc even in two big EE capitals there must be sugar in stores
but we don't have it because there is war somewhere, not because of speculants and people preparing for long life (or afterlife) under-ground..... but leave to kids to deal with wars, speculants, capitalism, politicians and other things, life is too short .... btw, hope two players won't kill them on the field as I joked few months ago, but maybe French are smart to start at noon if they gonna play till midnight ....
have fun, again match should have been in something like sunday afternoon, but.... will try to catch that regarding sports.

so i like basket and one not so important flash news from that field....
due to war and kicking out of Russian clubs from Euroleague (quasi most important club competition on continent) my club (Partizan) recieved "wild card" for next season in that competition... (maybe undeservedly in sport sense but as only club from this country that ever won it)). it was a lot of talked about news and that "most important clubs" in recent years (Spanish giants among others,Turks) voted for it etc. Among other things "sport fans" and hooligans were mentioned many times in texts, but personally think that is overdimensioned and I personally posted video of FC Cologne (Köln in Germany) fans in Belgrade - masked and "violent", throwing pyros in crowd in Belgrade, Greeks are famous for extreme fans, fans from Neverlands were filmed in bloody fights in Tirana, Albania during some cup final etc etc etc... Euroleague will punish and evict any club from competition if trouble becomes serious (which is fair) but a bit of over-drama, personally thinking... ties of criminals and "fans" are old story though and something for state to deal with, but not so unique, regarding that city rival is in EL for years now..... in that sense photo of very cultured and sophisticated fans of rival city club from last season EL game
... with excuse for gentlemen for chosing their pic, but is for fun
in sport sense I expect nothing less than F4
.... other news boring me on sites last days is Djokovic probably not being able to play on US open, due to non-vaxed status.... so what, French & English gave him chance to play so it is 50-50. Americans and Australians prefer some Russian (or Russian last name) man to win it
...again too much drama in news, like first one... as long as nobody throws a knife on him Djokovic should feel fine and achieved a lot.... must say English stance surprised me very much (as he is not so loved there like Federer and Nadal as well) and they were trully fair, so English authorities are not always the worse as some like to say in sport + politics sense... (must say still personally dubious about the effect of vaccine on global situation as many people in many countries like African never reached some levels of vaccinated, etc etc)..... (English were fair, except if you are player from Russia or Belarus
)
final news in block (who likes European basket) - Joker i.e. Jokić confirmed he is playing for national basket team on Euro championship this september, so if you find time maybe it won't be so bad competition with few NBA stars.... bookies already making us "main favs" but slow down with it, as it is not his first time to play, my only hope is for good sport "fights" and hopefully interesting matches, not knowing who will play for other teams yet... (except Dončić giving all for Slovenia).... have fun, my informative column for fun as well for Mexican readers mostly but any expectation welcome... )

...let's stay on this subject for another moment
i don't know, guess many people either do not understand or if understand believe blindly in what they read ; ..... inspired to add as we were mentioned briefly today in some foreign news - not we as we as we are known as superpower and nation in rank of imperial Germany, France or similar albeit not of same size just strength, fearsome and serious... mention was rather in Bulgaria-North Macedon-Albania love triangle
- anyway, to continue and I always consider that foreign analitics are rarely right and confuse people.... ;
so to avoid me being one that confuses people and give false traces as I for example mentioned Mexico so some could read... reasons for that "wild card" - undeserved in sport sense as we were knocked out in round of 16 of less important Eurocup although being among "top favs" - is personally thinking a sort of hommage to our current coach Obradović, man with most EL titles in various countries, first one he won exactly with our club 30 years ago.... that's personal feeling, not some club influence
....though it is club with basketball continental title, very many waterpolo continental titles and is first club from eastern Europe ever to reach "CL football" (then Eurocup) more than half-century ago, where it lost from Real Madrid... most important coaches in football Spain and one that led Mexico are ex-partizan players, so most important club regionally
...seriously, to avoid some ideas to why would you give "wild card" to Belgrade club which won nothing as people are dumb... personally, as small "gift" to our coach.... why they want to kick us out? because they fear
small summer music tune as introduction, as we have many fans around the world ....all to Montenegro
(and Sinaloa)

to finish this block..... i will not post links to videos as we do not want to give "bad examples" but they are there on youtube.... must say do not attend sport events that much (went during 90s remeber Dundee Utd from Scotland after sanctions)) especially not football (because it is bore from our PoV, you get Feyenoord and bore yourself)) nor I have that passion anymore (always good to make fun of rivals, plurality is super thing and esence of good sport life) but, looking for that song to post, ran on some chants and clips from matches to watch later, like today...
laughing as I laughed at videos (not knowing current rituals) I saw of "south curva" being all in rivals colors and flags on fence remembering it as ritual (maybe old) to show captured flags, thought it is some mistake although fans behind were right ; .... but trully funny was video in which firefighter, with very shy and small water pressure, is spraying burning flags on fence and without any intentions and very carefully not to do so - sprays fans in first rows... some enter the "field" i.e. track to try to kick the firefighter and security (there was no riot police as situation was normal) almost protects fan and enables him to go back to stands.... something similar like that pic above where it looks like security is protecting fan from player
anyway, laugh is laugh if nothing is serious, but violence unacceptable
and that's football.... always for good chants, really nice, noise and humor but that's all, nothing above and I only do babies (not to foreign fans though)). Seen small kids and sometimes girls on stands in basket. state bussines is state one.... so to finish, in basket there is no pyro and personally think that things "go wrong" only if staged and planned, like Genova
visiting fans do not travel much in basketball anyway, but if any relative ever visit some our match, no drama and most were safe and will like singing...
to finish in positive tone - didn't know personally or forgot probably - we are currently record holders in number of "seated fans" in EL game, also didn't know that we had most tickets in last season EC and similar things... so some records when it comes to support in continental proportions from, iconic, but unexpected club maybe. So beside our coach, maybe another factor "of respect" towards club regarding other EL clubs to give that "wild-card" (we would never get without war, to be fair)... hope we deserve it and finish in f4. have fun not sure if I'll post much, probably 2 most interesting events in calendar personally (EL and Euro champs in september).... hope "wild card" is not literal and becomes "kick card" or as we call it "shut carta"

Last week I went to Hamburg and visited the famous tennis stadium "Am Rothenbaum". In recent years, it has been temporarily modified for beach volleyball (for example, for the 2019 World Cup).
BeachProTour2022 Hamburg
German men's and women's teams each won the third place. These are good results.
The men's final developed in the third set (tie-break to a maximum of 15 points) into a spectacular show by the teams from Poland and the Netherlands. Neither team was able to build a 2-point lead for the victory. Only at 29:27 for Poland the epic set ended. Best advertisement for this sport!

was a nice "warm-up" for upcoming EC in september... official next year WC qualification game, finished just recently... i wasn't there
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBMBYnTGKes
not something spectacular nor very important game for Greece, but was nice score line (100-94) and even over/extra time... but probably most important for basket fans wider in world - due to Giannis scoring 40, Jokić 29
...hope only for good EC soon, though we might not qual for next year WC as playing with C team before games didn't impress... not so good as some think and players are far from what we had in 90s and early 2000s, but glad "Joker" is having leading role and giving "almost best" and that important players in other teams will play ; ...if we do not make it to WC, doesn't matter as Japan nor India will neither, China's basket is position to do so, btw ) if you watch some game, might be solid chapm after all, i expect only gold ;

eh, Japan is actually WC host so it qualified, pardon... Not really Japan but Okinawa, maybe indie future state
...Co-host with Indonesia & Philippines in fact, while only J & P qualed automatically - FIBA considers Indonesia to have to prove auto-qual with results, while quasi Japan & Philies are good
...in any way and jokes aside, wish Asian basket good luck maybe we can help, esp. in female section development
this is one of my fav sports ; wasn't much on our TV but i remember some short intermezzos during male competitions which was only shown.... while Japan is great (and our old ally till today)) must say that partly fem-part is still underrepresented politically and similar... but not to make J males as "super-conserves", we all know that girls do decide a lot in J society, like family and that they are "developed world" like we ; ....anyway, we like, cuties and angels
sorry for other comments, posted mostly to correct statement about J basket team, as i forgot who are WC hosts, join to talk everything

it is cute how Wu Chao finished and then, ashamed, puts her hair from the face even though it is tightly tied behind
Haga Kayo, my love now
...anyway, another interesting episode to add and finish... it features Nagano's wife, but she wasn't really successful. Nice for rising mood, nice for laughs but serious discipline and requires skill and able body much more than many sports, esp. in male part
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kVJULPKiiw
...and to relocate this one from other thread as well where it belongs, legendary moment and great tragedy... just take it easy brother and sit, plenty of time for you
Would like some Japanese member to translate to me what he is saying, but alas... ; Incredible positive character and as I said it is skill & phisicality "par excellence" - as i said you can make two Naganos of my mass (not really but I'm 100 kger) and am 26+ cm above him but couldn't beat anything there ;... he would be oldest person to complete stage if he was second faster, btw ;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPeBsfCzLA0
checked some official sites and similar, and it wasn't really his "last act" as I said (although yes in a way) as he showed in 2020 episode (just because of corona-virus things as special guest and future PM) and failed first stage again... some say he plans to maybe take part this year or some else in future, with kid etc. Brother and legend, really positive face from the past, not sure how to watch, need to check... but getting older doesn't help to enjoy many things as before, sadly. Need fem translator

interesting a bit "yellow papers" type of E Asian site, don't really know from where really but (being good detective) I noticed times are writen as HKT, so I conclude something like Hong Kong (not to be mixed with King Kong)... many interesting texts and good for smiles and they do post occasional pics of cuties
so i'll check sometimes although I read much more serious press from your region ;
https://min.news/en/sport/550dbebd54e66 ... 299bb.html
from the text
Yao Ming's wife said that since Yao Ming retired, his weight has been on the rise. Because of his height, he weighed 280 kg, but now he weighs 400 kg.
... very nice, but unimportant, lets say funny mistake
another text, nothing to do with sport but touches my fav subject of Japan
https://min.news/en/world/8e47247838c24 ... bc978.html
interesting details, like things i didn't know like "J overseas GDP bigger than country's nominal GDP" etc etc... however, line: "...Japan's 370,000-square-kilometer island country has as many as 57 nuclear power plants, second only to the beautiful country and romantic country..." makes me puke
as one can say a lot about USA but to say it is "beautiful and romantic" is heresy and "bljak"
...but what do i know, they/authors like US obviously - but i must inform we are taller than Americans
.... anyway, I disagree with some statements about Japan, country I like and one of top 5 five allies in modern times ) - in a way I explained in other threads - actually many things "Japanese" originate from China (shemisen, karate etc etc)... as last look humoristicaly at article quote:
When it comes to Japan, many people's first impression is that this country is old, its economy is not good, its military is not good, and its future is not good either
actually where I sit - country is old as we are, but much bigger
its economy is very good
military? I'll pass, and its future is much better than ours
...but hey, different look from dif country good for laughs... as i said I like you all and would annex. I must react in generally non-sport subject because I'm expert on issues
we can talk it...
aaanyway, last post and info, we've beaten Turkey as well and now firmly hold 4th position, which means no-WC yet ; ...good news for Latvia, Greece and Belgium (currently holding 3 "visas", yes we lost twice to Belgium) is that we will not play with Jokić future qual games as he will be far away - so lots of possible trouble for us ahead
https://www.fiba.basketball/basketballw ... b=overview
i finish, if you like some sport i mentioned, TBS games or E-SE Asia, do join and we can talk it... if you tune on to near starting EC in basket, have fun. (regarding EAsia, again, great lover myself)

text's header says "pounds" so i guess it is it if you know that measures precisely... but again super fun mistake, from someone who makes typos often ; ... and since you "forced me to add another post" - I again underline that I disagree with such characterization of Japan, country we like in S'rbia.... of course not having anything against China, our lover not letting us out of bed - to repeat myself worst thing is for people far away to accept negative views just because of some geopolitical and friendly ties with another ; ...Japan promised (nothing for now of the job, i think) some potentially best and advanced investments in Serbia etc. and lots of girls to send
have fun with sport.

well, well, early exit & totally unexpected after first half - in the 1/8 of EC against Italy, the kryptonite
... what to say, last evening we felt bad and empty, today nothing... definitely our basket is not so good at the moment, as i indicated. Thumbs up and respect to "Joker", sadly he doesn't have generation from the 90s as backup.... but we had for a less than 7 mils probably country, enough WC and EC golds, practically with 99% Serb players, many will never ; ...noticed during transmission some younger guy, camera kept him long on screen - we concluded that it is some member of emigration and probably born in Germany or some neighbor country - with whole right upper arm tattoo of emperor Dušan, talked him a lot so we smiled while watching
...wondered what he thinks about him and find phenomenon of foreign-born Serbs liking history interesting, while if guy have some positive impressions about historical figure - like his laws, organization capabilites or allowing wife to enter "man-only" complex 700 years ago
- I approve their liking... we also noticed many Russians there, so be careful not to blame some things "on Serbs" eternally
basket is not only problem though, other trophy sport "almost died ungloriously" recently - waterpolo ; but also doesn't matter, last shining moment was Tokyo gold... waterpolo till Tokyo
(glad it was Tokyo, cutie)... but there will be some future generation, of course... at least our clubs are strong internationally

yea, almost "spectacular" last quarter and unexpected efficiency from Spain... must say i noticed Germany as solid before the start when they beat "one of the favs" with some 30 points, so solid success and nearly missed final, in strange last 1/4 as said...
France, Spain (Germany almost) on this tournament size did matter
was a great win over Greeks... but for obvious things forgettable champs after all
though you realize it matters less really, but as my comment on champs...

know few care here, even i do not follow fem sports - but as mentioned it and so we won gold in women volleyball WC this weekend, congrats
...we are such feminists, generally more golds in fem sports as independent country
(...but old story as wife of our emperor was first woman to enter Mt Athos for example 700 years ago, foreign and domestic women were first to serve in our army etc etc old well known feminist tribe...)
while not first gold in sport and gender, to me is interesting this guy
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniele_Santarelli as coach - to unimportant to look and think, but safe to say first foreign coach which won gold in any team sport in our history, so precedent or record. Don't know much, do not follow sport, never seen him before ) just fresh face to me as he took over just this year and instant WC gold
short article as well, but Monica is "che bella, che bella" ; - congrats Daniele as well

It was a good game
The Bucs finaly found out they have a offense and looked like last year
Their run game worked for the first time this season and scores could have been higher if not for 2 interceptions, one of them in a trick play with a pass on Brady. They could have scored again in the finale but decided to play it save and play the clock.
Crowd was amazing, singing and dancing and everybody had a great time at a memorable game. No braindead hools and ultras like in soccer
Just people, fans of many franchises, having a good time and La Ola waves going round the arena several times.
All the US guys were impressed of the atmosphere in the stadium.
Bucs look good for the playoffs, also because their division is overall pretty weak this year.

since we have so many Japanese memebrs here, never said that it was our ex player who scored for Japan, as said best J player ever in our club (Partizan)And only. the way he left the club - while being top scorer in one of strongest leagues - didn't make him hero here (but nobody caresand free to comeback whenever)) but our kid is our kid... so small video for German football fans
and nice who ever made it as our club dominates in his career
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41_RBwXBrQs
regarding basket and our adventures in Euroleague after less than 3rd of season - two stats: we are 4 best scoring and 1st by points scored against... strange by having most tropheous coach in history of club sport, who was once famous (iirc) for his club's defences... not important we are hopeful for top 8 finish still
...some freaky plays (by mainly some foreigners) as yesterday in Madrid when team scored 40 (!) points in first quarter which is something rarely doable even in NBA in 12 mins quarters ; ...yet defeat with nba score at the and as well... but at least we are attractive, some "harlem globetrotters" of EL
for the end of sport block - football WCs not so important to me anymore (and are bore)) rarely watch - but some meme from world sport sites, or BBC sport, their opinion.... do join us from J...

yes him, glad somebody knows, thanks for mention Dimitris
guess age does the thing
though play-style is proper "total basket"
and some shocks...if you remember him before, so strange that few defeats were with over 100 points. there is internal joke that he should round his record at 10 trophies this year
but of course hardly doable ; ...at least 8, but many sharks... or at least in front of Olympiacos and you know whom
anyway, "globtrotters" to their fate, want to add few line about Asano, while he is "in focus"... first, he is Japanese, b) he worked his job and was top scorer and c) he said he after "one og biggest clubs" (i.e. our) wants to go to other top league - one of 4... and he went. If he ended somewhere else outside of top 5 (England, Spain, Germany, Italy, Serbia) I guess that would be unforgivable and lying and we could hate him
...but this way, good luck to him, few more such goals on WC and then hopefully breaking contract with Bochum (!) and returning home in tears
...really nice video, again - touching that best Japanese forward was able to score so many against even Bachka Topola and likes
no sarcasm, at least in part of the city he is always welcome and J PM candidate along Nagano, to combine with other joke...

rarely/never feel sorry for any foreign team, but do feel for Japan... and Asano tears postgame ontop ; Nice chance to win one WC finally ( ....nice fans, though personally shocked that so many Js went around without masks
...next time my cuties.
talking about WC bore, for 2-3 days talk to everyone (at least 3 persons) that Croatia-Canada is such a "mismatch" worth putting house, wife, kids on Croats... luckily they didn't disappoint, brothers
really, vice-champs vs. Canada, and bookies gave 2,25 for Croats ; ...didn't profit much as i never put (and will lose all in upcoming games surely) but it was such a sure bet personally unseen in world sport for years
..... on the other hand, Germany vs. Spain is such a typical WC bore, have fun until something bigger... again, sorry for Japan my favs, again was reading their papers and threre was some hope, but - to joke - Costarica is no some Bachka Topola, my Takuma ; (think other player should have passed the ball to him earlier in one chance) do join us, best fans (and Partizan players) on earth...

...cute that I mentioned it as that is "huge contrast" in mentality, or simplier said approach to games compared to us... more soma analysis, not pure sport... practically same situation - while not comparing Cameroon, one of footbally bigger African nations and historical teams, with Canada after all - and Croats after leading 3:1 (and being goal down initially) finish game calmly or safely and even score more, Serbs on the other hand at some moment "fall apart" or sink in same situation (albeit stronger opponent, but technically inferior could be said) really some difference in "mentality" or "approach" as i said
have fun and do join us ;
totally bad time of day working hour plus morning, but nice WC game, congrats to Cameroon for show as well, true WC game as they should be if you ask me
last comment on WC, last game should still be interesting and with some passion (but PC generally) but only hope is that beautiful Brazil makes 3-4:0 for some hope that last game will be at least interesting
nonetheless, maybe last comment, Japan and we always fun... do join us

...after all defeats since my last post (including 2 in domestic and EL by domestic rival) finally bigger "scalp" has been taken, of Efes the champs
season turnaround
... that's our characteristic, loyal fans that believe ;
tend to know something about basket - and i mentioned great offensive potential shown in that spectacular 40 points in quarter plus 4th scoring team in EL - and must say that team doesn't look so bad at all, with Dante, Australian national team player, becoming our Booker
...but we also have one guy who looks like Durant (he has our citizenship so why he wasn't called to failed championship?)) and few experienced players like French jumper from Martinique (de-colonize world finally?) guy with huge experience James the 3 pointer and even young Israeli who doesn't play much but is showmen ; even Greek and others - Serbs are not talented for basket anymore
.... seriously, all taken into consideration bottom of the table is undeserved, not to mention that second EL title is doable
... anyway, was nice game finish and didn't look like win on half-time, good look to team
but it looks superb at moments offensively, clunky and amateuristic at other moments... hope Dante (like name) reach his peak here

The Buccaneers with a great game. Brady with 3 long TB bombs on Evans. Evans with more than 200 yds, Godwin with more than 100.
Brady with his longest pass since 2017. This kid has a future in the NFL!
Now get ready for the playoffs

I was watching darts at the same time: Historic success of a German player with the entry into the HF of a world championship.
Gabriel Clemens vs. Gerwyn Price (5:1)

Update Darts World Cup 2023:
Michael "Bully Boy" Smith beats Michael Van Gerwen in a high class final and becomes new World Champion for the first time
. Absolute highlight of the match and in the history of darts was Leg 3 in the second set - but see for yourself and marvel at the perfect throws:
