 You could say I've been lurking in the background and the last year I've been taking up OG again. As long as my old faithful OG-laptop doesn't break down, I'll try to keep this up. With so many (unfinished) CCs to choose from, I opted for a familiar campaign designer, converter and e-file. I've never claimed to be a particularly good or advanced PG/OG-player, so big nations, tanks and defensive battles seemed the way to go. No re-loads and fast pace is my mode, which means I can loose out on a lot of XP and PP, but where's the fun in hoarding, right?

First challenge was to compose a good set core according to the instructions of the readme:
2 tanks
3 towed AT with horse tpt
2 towed Artillery with horse tpt
2 recon units
2 towed AD with horse tpt
3 reg Infanty w/o tpt
3 Gebirgsjæger w/o tpt
You can spot my purchases below, them being unnamed units. In retrospect, I really should have bought the cheapest AT possible to get a Pz IV instead of the measly Pz IIIs, but I really wanted two 2-range units with HA for my defensive first scenario to fend off the waves of T-34s.
In the end, I had a fairly easy run with a breakthrough in the center. The defense held up well. Didn't gain a lot of XP though... The red steamroller awaits my pathetic tanks. Let's see if I can get them upgraded.

 Oh, and still no leaders!  . I don't know if there has been major AI changes since the campaign version I'm playing came out, but it could do with another playtest from a designer who could pinpoint these issues in the scenario design.

It was replaced at HQ by a PzGrenadiere as the SS inf unit was not available for purchase at that point. The stats and cost are about the same. As long as I kept my units out of harms way of the enemy navy and airforce, I was fine and managed a ltBV, even though I completely messed up the paratrooper landings and lost one of the units in flight. I have now gained a few leaders, but sadly my Tiger and my fighters are without. I struggle to gain experience on my inf since they are so weak in comparison to their enemies.
