A general advertising place to advertise your stuffs!

Post by Duke Falcon »

Greetings and welcome!

Originally wanted this to be my advertising place but I guess some of you may also has things to advertise! So let's run this stuff together or something.
You have Wattpad? Online store? Starport?
Advertise here! Share the links with the others! Then we could share it further to our friends and so on...

So, I start this if I may!

It runs since 2024's Xmas and goes fairly well in the "controlled environment" of the host site. I however want some broader audience but have no real clue how to advertise properly...
So, yeah, I drop it there! Feel free to explore, comment (could leave comment as unregistered guest but I need to administer those before displayed) or suchs. But I also want to humbly ask you to help me and share this with your friends! Help me get a kind of audience (the more who drop vitric on me is the better?!?), maybe some fanbase..?

Those whom has some interest in Doctor Who I also run this dumb dalek comic aswell:

As for the rest of stuffs, like YouTube, look at my signature! I reorganise my YT in the meantime to get some more watchers, subscribers. Maybe you found some interesting stuffs there to!

Thanks everyone! Has a very nice year, OG comrades!

Posted as "announcement" at PGX forum.

Because yes...

Additionally, Jeff Crouch, the PGX demiurge, is a BD fan, not counting he draws himself. Naught, he himself draws...
I also "consumed" some examples of the genre.
A few very little people will know because they're from Portuguese authors.
On the other end, some are widely known; Tintim and Asterix come to mind. Spirou & Fantasio, Lucky Luke and more of the sort.
More on the philosophical side the works of Enki Bilal and of the double Moebius and Jodorowski topped by the one and only Incal series.

Curiously, a few days ago I suggested some of your work to Jeff.
He posted he was playing with the idea of creating a LOTR themed variation of PGX and naturally I suggested the possible use of your Fantasy General unit icons. Although I'm under the impression they're bigger than the old PG style unit icons...

Wow, thanks!

Swift question: What means "BD"?
As for the LOTR-thing... I remember Fairline made some nice icons for Civ2, LOTR-themed icons, I even has those somewhere. I would say I upload to Imgur and share but Imgur became a main source of problems lately...
I can extract the original, SSI FG icons for editing. I guess that would be a better option because the limited palette (I guess PG X use the same limited palette what the Five Star Generals used).

bande dessinée - BD from French language / also banda desenhada - BD in Portuguese

But of course, the use of the BD acronym derives from France, the leading force, in Europe, on drawn stories.
Portuguese BD is a local phenomenon unlike the French one.

LOTR thing...
I'm not sure Jeff will go ahead with a complete project.
At this point he seems to be intent on trying making a PGX LOTR map.

The FG old icons are an obvious choice for evaluation.
Yes, they probably are in line with the old palette PGX uses.
I did have them on the machine that broke down last year.
Two things cast a bit of doubt; they are one figure only and I'd say they don't cover all the themes needed.
I've searched for CivIII LOTR icons and found not many. What I haven't done is searching for Fairline icons.

A few years ago I adapted a basic 3 figure infantry from PG/AG/PGX to Gondor soldiers, with pikes my fuzzy memory tells me.
But I'm not seeing myself capable of building a whole set; certainly not in the state I'm in these days.

PS: for a possible file transfer probably e-mail should be the best option, provided we aren't talking about huge sizes.
Unless they are already available for download somewhere...

Hmmm, I not speak french nor spanish or portugese... But redacted to "pig latin" BD vaguely means "stripe of drawings" or "drawed strips"...
The Fairline and other fantasy icons:

I managed to achieve "Kill la kill" with english dub, it consumes most of my time I planned to draw my fan-webcomic (and in this year come the closing of the Thousand Years Blood War for Bleach).
It seems even my dumb dalek comic starts to attract people what is a surprise.

Anyway, IF ANYONE WANTS TO ADVERTISE SOMETHING:
Drop it here! Link it! Let the world (or the forum at least) know about it!
