Ramon Plays CC LXXV Officer's Level 75%

Hi All.
After finishing my studies and achieve my Professional Cloud Security Engineer Certification it's time for a relaxing campaign challenge. :)
I have choose the Campaign Challenge LXXV
Andreas Seidel's German World Campaign v.1.0 for OpenGen converted by PzManiac for JHE Efile
At Officer's Level 75%.
I will fallow the campaign rules. As long as I know I'm allowed to reload and peek in the Suite (This is the first time I play this campaign).
I will try to make this post a bit more entertaining than just posting the AAR.
A bit like a storyteller here ;)
OK let's start!!
After some attempts I quickly realise this scenario is not about fight, is about run as fast as you could and finish the weak enemy units in a go.
What is the most suitable unit to do that?
Just checking the available equipment it is obvious: Recon PsW 222.
I bought two and in just two movements I had three VH in my power. :cool

I additionally bought a TK and another Recon but I plan to sell most of my army later.
I just keep going.

And manage to take most of the prestige in the map and have a BV :yes

Turn 2 Almadrones

I completely rearrange my army.
Sold my only core unit and everything but the recons and the proto received ( a very good infantry)
With all that prestige I was able to build a quite decent army :2cents

The most powerful units in the Republican Army are they Artilleries. I keep my nationals out and soft units out of range.
But there are very few turn to reach the BV. You better hurry!

By the end of turn 3 I had managed to reach the Airport. Thanks to my Recon again.
I was quickly blocked by two republican Recon. They are quite weak but attacking with an INF made some damage to my AT.
But this MG unit has a decent defence and dismount to defend itself when attacked. Not an easy target.

I quickly took the las VH the republicans weren't fast enough to stop me. I use my TK to take the last VH that have extra experience.

Turn 3 Guadalajara (Mi pueblo!!)

Here we go again. Same map different set up.
I just bought the mounted infantry of unpronounceable name (Kradschutzen) and went all in!
This is how the beginning of turn 2 looks.

Nationals take care of the ART and my new proto fighter with its partner take care of the republican air force.

In the North my army take the VH. I didn't even need my ART to do that.

All set and done on time. I even reached a reco FTR ;)

But please could you turn off the hex description and spotted hex for the screenshots? It's sometimes hard to follow when just looking at the pictures. Though I don't know how convenient it is to turn the options on and off.

I bought an Recon TB. It is expensive but it has lasting suppression. Adding to my Leader Recon FTR and a TB will "soften" any hard problem. :lol

That what I did in the 1st turn. Just place carefully my army and attack the ART with the air force.

And then I moved fast. Sadly one MG was beaten very hard. :beatup

Now I had to face the difficult spot. I Kept using my air force and the other MG reached a Leader. The artillery has a slow transport I will change in the next scenario.

I got a nice TB leader that will save me the money of having to buy one :2cents
Looks like I'm building a nice air force :banana

I'm buying the powerful 8.8 Flak as I know I will be under Hard type enemies attack.
And a Pz38 TK as I don't have too many options to finish those hard units. :dunno
At the beginning of turn 2 I was waiting for action! :evil

I easily finished my rival Air force. And hit the hard units that has came to close. :fight
Meanwhile I have sent a my two RCN a TK and a INF to the town.

I reached another leader for my MG AT (double fire!)
As this is a long campaign, I prefer an ART and TK leader. But AT leader are nice if there is powerful cheap AT.
But I'm not sure as never played this campaign before. :huh
Anyway, I finished my job in the North while my air force take care of the ART in the town. Then I move my units to finish the scenario on time.

This is a tough one! :phew
I get a good 8.8 Flak AA. I was in doubt as AA are rarely used (but when used ,it makes a difference).
I decide to keep it as the enemy has a very good FTR Spitfire far superior to my poor FTR's.
There are two routes to the distant VHs. One is blocked and difficult to pass through.
The other is long and you have to left some units to defend a VH as enemy reinforcements will come later to re-take it.
To make thinks more difficult my air force wasn't easy to operate. If not raining the superior Spitfire won make it easy.
And when you are ready to go fast the terrain turn muddy and most units turn to snails! :thud
I have to play a couple to times to figure out the BV solution.
I bought a cheap INF and ART with no transport. And with my two MG AT will take the VH and defend it.
The rest of my army included the Air force will be in the other path.

When terrain turned muddy the Spitfire attacked my FTR but I was waiting for it! :evil

I keep going and eventually the terrain get dry and I can advance more quickly.
I didn't have time for the enemy FRT. I kept going and made it just in time.
As always didn't forget to fight after the BV was assured. You win experience and all your units will be restored! :)

I forgot to mention that I got a devastating fire leader for my Recon TB.
I decide to by the most powerful (and expensive) TB the He-111H. It was a killer! :evil
This scenario is not too complicated onece you have figure out how to make it.
You split your army in two.
On the North.

And on the South.

Use your AUX RCN to gain the isolated and undefended VH in the far West-North.
And just keep going.

I made some errors in this scenario but in the end I managed to achieve the BV.
I saw that the enemy has a good air FTR force. I think is time to have a good one for myself and spend all the prestige in a Me-109E-3.
I should sell my proto AA. It's good but too much prestige for an unit barely used. :2cents
I put most of my army in the North I have to get through the first difficulty fast. I tried to bait the enemy air force in two fronts. In one of them took the bait :evil
I attacked with my two AT GM and the aux mobile AA. Once "soften" I use my FTR to finish them. As I said my expensive AA wasn't of any use. :|

I sent my aux TK to take the airfield. It did well...but...
Meanwhile I finished the air force and got close to the difficult passage

but.. yeah but.. another error. My aux TK was beaten so hardly that barely survive and I have to use a RCN unit to protect it. it's a Liberator leader and will give some extra prestige :2cents
The rest went ok. But my Army end up been too disperse. :|

Turn 10 Dunkirk

An interesting scenario.
I came up with a plan :deal
I realised that the enemy air force was no match for me. I will eliminated them in a couple of turns.
So I bought two 10.5 IeFH18 ART, a cheap INF and another TB with RCN.
I move all the aux to the central VH.
Then divide them into two teams one to conquer the close East VH.
The rest to the North to help take the other two VH.

My core was also divided. I plan to conquer the far East and move North-West but I was only able to move only the RCN as the enemy forces there were attacking and blocking.

At the end I was able to move a lot of forces to take the two last VH.

Turn 11 Calais

I approached this scenario focusing in the North VH.
The enemy was quite aggressive and that point is heavily defended.
You have to be ready for Air and Sea Attacks. In my first attempt even my experienced Soft units suffer too much. :thud
I took my time and approached carefully with my experienced Panzer IVD and my Air force.
The rest of the army took a detour. I also took care of the unprotected ART

It took my a while to clear up that spot. But once cleared, the rest was easy.
Even again a veteran, well entrenched and over-strengthen unit.
I can target one concrete unit with two TB with recon skill + a FRT with recon leader + a powerful TB with devastating fire.
Then send my RCN unit (that can also fire) and take the spot.
In this case I add two leaders ART(one is Street Fighter).The unit was really hard to take down.

I was given this expensive bomber but I didn't keep it.

Instead I used the prestige to upgrade my army. Two leader Eng. AT for my MG and a good FRT for my leader.

As a player it's ok

I upgraded my veteran TNK to an expensive TNK with Support (Very effective used with my two ING leaders AT !).
And I bought a TNK and a cheap boat to take care of the submarine.
That's how my army looks at the start.

This was a fun scenario to play. You have to deploy your units help your aux Fallschirmjaegers, and then take move to the North-East to take the well protected VHs there.
For some strange reason my amphibious TNK didn't get transport :dunno

This scenario is not difficult but for the far away East VH's.
I was very short on turns and made the BV just in time. :phew
Again my air force take easily care of the FTRs and the ARTs.
Some AA will make it more challenging. That's not a critic on the designer, don't get me wrong.
It's just a hint for a possible future developments if that's the case.

An entertaining scenario. The enemy is well entrenched and not easy to get rid of.
If not for my Air force shooting down the good enemy ART this will be quite challenging.
Because it will take more time and you have some very good and hard units chasing you.
But my air units eliminated the ART before I arrived and then my ART+ Eng AT have an easy and quick job done.
You will need all your army and a good plan to take the three last VH :deal
