if a proto awarded and playing with rules can you keep it as long as it`s not used till applicable?

Which prototype did you receive? In which scenario?

Edit:
When I look at my AAR from 2019, I realize that I deviated from the rules during the campaign. For example, I bought one more tank and the composition of the AT was also not according to the rules. The campaign was too demanding / too difficult for me.
