Then add this icon as JC179 instead of my JC179 icon "Stadswacht (Militia Infantry x3) + hat" (my icon replaced old-style JC179) to avoid duplicate the icons... ;)
It is not a duplicate. The indigenous troops will use the "militia legs" of LED96. Also it is better to have one more icon as an option, because you never know which icon is used for which unit in an efile :lol

This is another reason for using JC179 name as the legs in your icon better correspond to militia-type unit! In addition, you need to remember that OpenIcons.dat isn't "rubber"... ;)

Since they wear a hat, i will use JC179 as the jungle icon for regular infantry. LED96 will be the jungle icon for Grenswacht and so i will use the new militia icon for the indigenous troops for all 4 icons of that unit.

I work for 2 years (maybe more if i take a closer look...) on a specific campaign based on a "what if". What if French HQ in 1939/40 didn't go with the "Dyle/Breda" plan and stayed on the "Dyle" one ?
Historicaly, "Dyle/Breda" was, to summarize, go full speed into Belgium and reach Holland and establish from North to the South a frontline to prevent the German from penetrating deep into Belgium and reaching French frontiers (by doing so, preventing Belgium and Dutch army to collapse quickly and keeping their divisions for the fight and, of course, protecting the northern industry in France). This was also a political decision (especialy of english will) to prevent the town of Anvers from falling.

By not ordering the "Breda" option (the Holland Hypothesis, as recalled) the 7th Army of General Henri Giraud would have stay on general reserve near the french town of Reims (100 km from Sedan ;) ).
In real life, on 10 may 1940, when Germany finally attacked, the 7th army was ordered to go as far as the Dutch town of Breda for almost no result, cause the Dutch army was already quite K.O when they arrived.

Sooooo, i plan on making a full campaign with the 7th Army on reserve near Reims, then moving quickly to Ardennes (where french defences are outmatched as in real life) and preventing the panzers division of making their famous "sickle cut" ("coup de faucille" in french) of their brillant Case Yellow.

This would lead to a total different campain in the Low Countries and in France and, maybe, with more R.A.F planes and British troops, a less moving frontline, a huge change of mentality in French HQ ("Generalissime Gamelin, why dont you fucking see that the combination of tanks & planes almost rip us apart in 15 day, what if we do the same ????"), Frenchs would have a small chance of holding their ground and not be called 80 years later "cheese eating surrender monkeys" by internet troll.

Just two questions:
Is this a double post of the same icon MG259 or is there one missing?
Are all plane icons French? Or is it a mix of Fance and UK icons?
