Wow what a ripper of a battle to finish off the cam
There was action all over the map, surprises came from everywhere and the battle plan changed probably 964 times which to me is a sign of an exceptionally well crafted scenario
I had spied on the brief at the beginning of the AI's first turn something about capturing ANY flag to win

this forced me to leave an Aux unit on every flag just in case, this then resulted in a reduction of those valuable aux mountain troops at the final push to the 4 western VHs, they had no roads leading to them and a river in front so by the time we got there the turns were running low. A dug in AD at the North-West VH severely damaged 2 of my best Tacs so I had to call off the air attacks there and wait til the Artys had moved hex by hex over the mountains to within range, while they moved up 3 mountain troops had circled around to the top of the VH and waited until the AD was taken out and an attack made on the big Arty, they then moved in and began their assault. Finally all 4 western VHs were cleared and we took them 1 by 1 until only the north-west one remained. With 2 turns to go the NZ Engineers had finished clearing the wire and were given the honor of claiming the last VH of the cam as thanks for the excellent bridges they built that had helped win a couple of close battles
Final thoughts-
I must admit I didn't know much about the Greek efforts in WW2 apart from the battles in Greece where they fought alongside my Kiwi countrymen so I wasn't too excited to play the cam
BUT I was really surprised at how much I did enjoy it and learnt a bit along the way
Still not a fan of Support Fire but it certainly does help in defensive battles and once you adapt your game play to compensate it's not too painful when on the attack.
Also not a big fan of no auto-refit but the designer handled it very well in this cam and there was on average enough to rebuild most units and do an upgrade or purchase here and there so really well done
All in all a really fun cam, nice job
