How to get peg to work if the wrapper does not work

For some win systems the wrapper does not work.
I that case please download this programm:

Put the files into 1 folder.

Admittedly, when opening a campaign with DXWnd, it throws an error, but after clicking ok, it starts and works

For the error i dont have any idea. You can try other settings maybe the errormessage dissapers.

So hope you can play the game in the size you want. This tool is a savior for peg since sven labusch vanished in the air ???

Great you are in the club of the last pegplayers. Its the only game i"m still playing but love it like 20 years ago.

To try it out, I connected other campaigns and everything works.
There is one more thing - I don't know if it's possible ...
I can set different window resolutions - but I always see the same area of the map regardless of its size (in pixels).
Is it possible to set it in such a way that a larger fragment is visible in a larger window, and a smaller fragment in a smaller one?

Also if the game and or patch does not work, it could be where you downloaded the game from, I downloaded from:

https://panzergeneraldownload.com/peoples-general.html

And a lot of files were missing, the game didn't work and when I started a scenario or campaign the map wouldn't appear and instead would be a black screen, the dialogue and turn notification that came up would freeze to the screen, If you fix this by using compatibility settings via windows 98 the units will move slow, if you use the patch it will make the game crash on start up. (Note original Panzer General and Allied General work fine from this website).

Sorry, no. The game is 20 years old. This will not be posssible. To reach this the game needs different resolutins, in fact a new programming.
I was hunting for the soucecode for some years without sucess. And i must confess i"m happy now with the game like it is.
