Easy warm-up battle. For all prestige available purchased 3x 38 Infanterie according to rules.
I called the battle easy, but still lost one core unit at beginning, when it was weakened during crossing a river and attacked by two Polish land units and a bomber. Re-purchased the same instantly.
The rest went flawlessly, as Polish defenders were not enough to stop excessive German forces. Got safe BV one turn before the limit, after killing all enemies.

2. Fortress Holland
Before the battle sold/bought one less experienced 38 Infanterie for new 40 type, upgraded two remaining 38 to 40 and purchased additional six 40 Infanterie according to orders.
I was a little afraid before this battle after reading Gixian's AAR, but saw that other players won it, so I decided to fight for any kind of victory (in case of loss replay was planned).
Landed all paratroopers according their destinations (given in unit names) and later distributed my core forces among available airfields. The battle went smoothly since the beginning due to good weather and Luftwaffe air superiority. I knew the BV may be hard to achieve, but hoped to get regular V at least.
Unfortunately before the BV limit passed, a streak of rainy days started (3 or 4 in a row). Without bombers' support I couldn't break Rotterdam defenses and was stuck on the bridge. Tried to save the situation by re-using 3 paratrooper units, which were dropped once again around the VH just little to the North from Rotterdam. They took that objective but didn't help with the main city assault.
That was finally completed by my core units attacking from the south, but two of them were killed, mainly due to several rugged defenses, which occurred during couple of consecutive attacks, and city traffic, which didn't allow retreat weakened units. Got (a little lucky) last turn TV, which I take without complaint.

3. Prut River
Before the battle I replaced two lost units and purchased all required reinforcements (3 arties, AD, AT and recon). I took only those equipped with lightest horse carts (with movement 5), as heavier units with wheel movement 4 or even 3 could be too slow (such units can not keep a pace of foot infantry out of roads).
The battle went flawlessly, but couple of stressing moments occurred as well. My core 22.ID took care about both objectives on the south, when auxiliaries battled for the rest, both northern and easternmost VH. In the last BV turn I still needed to take two VHs, the NE and E, what have been achieved and the BV scored.
Regarding the battle plan, I followed Gixian's advice and slower auxiliary units fought for both northern objectives, when farthest VH on the east was taken by detached Romanian contingent of three infantries in trucks.
My units supported by small Romanian group secured southern objectives a little earlier, but had some scared moments when massive counterattacks were organized by Russians. Attack of three BT-7 tanks was repealed due to brave performance of my small PaK, which killed two of them and remaining one was so scared that ran somewhere in a fog of war. 4. Dnjestr River
Before the battle purchased replacement for the lost unit.
The battle was rather simple, my division attacked from the west towards northern and easternmost objectives, when Romanian auxiliaries started on the south directing NE. After breaking through initial defensive lines on the river the only problem was speed. The first T-34, which appeared on the way of my units, didn't manage to create bigger troubles.
All VHs, excluding easternmost one, were captured inside BV limit. The last was taken single turn too late, so regular Victory this time. Good news – first two (decent type) leaders arrived.

5. Berislav
Nothing to do at HQ before the battle.
It was small scale battle done only by my own division, excepting auxiliary Luftwaffe support. All my initial VHs were placed on the river and empty, so I needed to secure them first.
Soon occurred, that I can not access directly the central one, so it was captured by enemy in the first turn, but I managed to take it back promptly. The northern one I secured, but it was attacked heavily since the beginning. The easiest task had 16.Rgt placed on the south, which crossed the river very fast with IT recon help, securing their VH and capturing closest Russian VH in the second turn by the way. That allowed to form good defensive position for several turns when enemy attacked aggressively.
When the situation on the south looked stable, the things in the center and on the north went more chaotic way and situation changed dynamically there. Both my VHs changed ownership several times, being captured by enemy at least twice. The battle on the north cost me most experienced unit from 85.Rgt, which was killed by enemy tank.
When finally Russian attacks seemed to weaken, I organized counterattacks from all my positions towards remaining three objectives. The middle one was taken just on the edge of the BV limit, but remaining two in the north and south on the first turn after. So another regular victory with another two leaders, both AM this time. Usually it's not considered as a good leader, but I think for foot walking units adding extra movement is pretty good improvement and may be helpful (especially I like my new R3-walking and R4-shooting Mortar).

6. Perekop
Before the battle replaced lost unit. Due to limited deployment I decided to leave 47.Rgt at HQ and give less experienced 85.Rgt units opportunity to fight.
The battle was tremendously slow by most of the time due big traffic in peninsula bottleneck. That are was filled with my and enemy units completely and making any passage needed a lot of hard work. Stacked entrenched Russian defenders didn't help obviously. Just at the end of BV limit I only forced the isthmus and took closest Russian VH, but remaining three were so far that I was afraid of loss. That run was like a marathon for my foot walkers, which were split on three groups and directed designated objectives. Managed to capture the last of them one turn before TV limit passed, barely avoiding loss.

7. Sevastopol 1
Did nothing at HQ.
Typical slow assault battle, as Sevastopol should be. On the south Romanian mountain infantry captured two southernmost VHs easily and focused on defending them against enemy attempts to recapture. Some German reinforcements, which occurred later in the area, allowed to complete this task successfully.
German auxiliaries coming from the east took care about closest enemy VH and then directed center of the map. Their advance went slowly due to many bunkers, so in the final stage their participation was marginal, only several shots on a side.
Main task was done by my core division supported by small Romanian auxiliary group, which appeared on the northwestern shore.
I advanced gradually, crossing the stream and removing countless obstacles, mainly bunkers. After capturing the VH in the center, closest to the north, remaining three were placed in a row from the west to the east, all in a mountain terrain. In the last BV turn they were still in Russian hands, but I had couple of my units placed adjacently to all of them and artillery prepared, so managed to organize final assault just on time. All were taken one by one successfully, which allowed me to score last turn BV.
Again no core losses and another nice pack of leaders – three on infantries and one on the mortar. Good to see they came, but still couple of slots to fill, especially that some units are closing to 5th bar.

8. Sevastopol 2
That second Sevastopol battle was really tiresome. Massive contingent of auxiliary units filling the map, rough and mountain terrain which allowed to go hex by hex only, when roads were packed with heavy traffics and long distance to cover. That wasn't funny and relaxing for sure. I spent two evenings playing it, separated by a couple of days break.

It's not very exciting, but I'm still happy as that was the last chance for the unit passing 5th bar. The leader adds extra defensive value and the unit will be cheap for repairs or OS, as upgrade possibilities are restricted.

Nothing to do at HQ before the battle.
It was small scale battle done only by my own division, excepting auxiliary Luftwaffe support. All my initial VHs were placed on the river and empty, so I needed to secure them first.
Soon occurred, that I can not access directly the central one, so it was captured by enemy in the first turn, but I managed to take it back promptly. The northern one I secured, but it was attacked heavily since the beginning. The easiest task had 16.Rgt placed on the south, which crossed the river very fast with IT recon help, securing their VH and capturing closest Russian VH in the second turn by the way. That allowed to form good defensive position for several turns when enemy attacked aggressively.
When the situation on the south looked stable, the things in the center and on the north went more chaotic way and situation changed dynamically there. Both my VHs changed ownership several times, being captured by enemy at least twice. The battle on the north cost me most experienced unit from 85.Rgt, which was killed by enemy tank.
When finally Russian attacks seemed to weaken, I organized counterattacks from all my positions towards remaining three objectives. The middle one was taken just on the edge of the BV limit, but remaining two in the north and south on the first turn after. So another regular victory with another two leaders, both AM this time. Usually it's not considered as a good leader, but I think for foot walking units adding extra movement is pretty good improvement and may be helpful (especially I like my new R3-walking and R4-shooting Mortar).

6. Perekop
Before the battle replaced lost unit. Due to limited deployment I decided to leave 47.Rgt at HQ and give less experienced 85.Rgt units opportunity to fight.
The battle was tremendously slow by most of the time due big traffic in peninsula bottleneck. That are was filled with my and enemy units completely and making any passage needed a lot of hard work. Stacked entrenched Russian defenders didn't help obviously. Just at the end of BV limit I only forced the isthmus and took closest Russian VH, but remaining three were so far that I was afraid of loss. That run was like a marathon for my foot walkers, which were split on three groups and directed designated objectives. Managed to capture the last of them one turn before TV limit passed, barely avoiding loss.

7. Sevastopol 1
Did nothing at HQ.
Typical slow assault battle, as Sevastopol should be. On the south Romanian mountain infantry captured two southernmost VHs easily and focused on defending them against enemy attempts to recapture. Some German reinforcements, which occurred later in the area, allowed to complete this task successfully.
German auxiliaries coming from the east took care about closest enemy VH and then directed center of the map. Their advance went slowly due to many bunkers, so in the final stage their participation was marginal, only several shots on a side.
Main task was done by my core division supported by small Romanian auxiliary group, which appeared on the northwestern shore.
I advanced gradually, crossing the stream and removing countless obstacles, mainly bunkers. After capturing the VH in the center, closest to the north, remaining three were placed in a row from the west to the east, all in a mountain terrain. In the last BV turn they were still in Russian hands, but I had couple of my units placed adjacently to all of them and artillery prepared, so managed to organize final assault just on time. All were taken one by one successfully, which allowed me to score last turn BV.
Again no core losses and another nice pack of leaders – three on infantries and one on the mortar. Good to see they came, but still couple of slots to fill, especially that some units are closing to 5th bar.

8. Sevastopol 2
That second Sevastopol battle was really tiresome. Massive contingent of auxiliary units filling the map, rough and mountain terrain which allowed to go hex by hex only, when roads were packed with heavy traffics and long distance to cover. That wasn't funny and relaxing for sure. I spent two evenings playing it, separated by a couple of days break.

9. Kos
Big rearmament at HQ this time. Upgrade to Grenadiere was ordered, but I did more with my spared prestige. Upgraded recon to Fusiliere and all three mortars to bigger version 12 GrW42. For remaining resources modernized four infantries to 43 Grenadiere, as well as five infantries to 42 Grenadiere for free.
This small scale battle was very refreshing after Sevastopol struggle. Limited deployment of 8 units, so I took Pioniere with Liberator unit, as well as 4 other leaderless 42 Grenadiere and two mortars.
Landed in the central area on western shore of the island, quickly cleared it and sent two groups to the north and south. BV was out of reach (2 turns above), so scored another regular victory with another leader added (RM).

10. Leros
Before the battle upgraded two 42 to 43 Grenadiere version.
Wow, this was even smaller battle than previous one – I didn't suppose that's possible. Only two units to deploy, so I took both DF infantries – extra shot may be handy when the time limit is tight. That was good choice, as my units landed on the NE coast and cleared the way down to the south effectively with Luftwaffe support. Brandenburger did a good job on the south, surviving till reinforcements came and making havoc among UK units placed there. Good pace of my core and successful auxies performance allowed to score last turn BV here.

11. Strumica
At HQ I noted obvious mistake. Before previous battle I didn't upgraded 2 more infantries to better 43 Grenadiere, leaving some spare prestige for later, but now that unit is not available replaced by worse 44 Volksgrenadiere. So, now was no reason to change 42 Grenadiere to the 44 Volks version with similar stats, but more expensive. I decided to spent my spared pp on OS of mortars and infantries instead.
The battle was interesting and dynamic. It could easily go wrong way, but I was prepared after looking into Gixian's AAR. Knowing about intensive partisans activity I kept all VHs guarded all the time by at least 2 units, with extra mortar on the west. That allowed me to stay on safe side, but still a pace of my assaulting group was a little too slow to score BV, which was missed by single turn. Scored another Liberator leader for infantry, but unfortunately another one passed 5th bar not promoted.

At HQ spent all available prestige on OS.
The battle was very simple, just go along the road and clear it from enemy units. Northern VH was not possible to keep by design, so there were to VH to capture after turn 2. I left 3 units to defend my initial southern VH and heaving fastest units on my column front advanced to the north fastest possible. Many enemies occurred on both flanks, but in real they even didn't slow down my front troops, so the farthest objective on the north was recaptured seven turns before the BV limit.

Big rearmament at HQ this time. Upgrade to Grenadiere was ordered, but I did more with my spared prestige. Upgraded recon to Fusiliere and all three mortars to bigger version 12 GrW42. For remaining resources modernized four infantries to 43 Grenadiere, as well as five infantries to 42 Grenadiere for free.
This small scale battle was very refreshing after Sevastopol struggle. Limited deployment of 8 units, so I took Pioniere with Liberator unit, as well as 4 other leaderless 42 Grenadiere and two mortars.
Landed in the central area on western shore of the island, quickly cleared it and sent two groups to the north and south. BV was out of reach (2 turns above), so scored another regular victory with another leader added (RM).

10. Leros
Before the battle upgraded two 42 to 43 Grenadiere version.
Wow, this was even smaller battle than previous one – I didn't suppose that's possible. Only two units to deploy, so I took both DF infantries – extra shot may be handy when the time limit is tight. That was good choice, as my units landed on the NE coast and cleared the way down to the south effectively with Luftwaffe support. Brandenburger did a good job on the south, surviving till reinforcements came and making havoc among UK units placed there. Good pace of my core and successful auxies performance allowed to score last turn BV here.

At HQ I OS all infantries (excepting Pioniere) and mortars maximally.
Another interesting small battle - no Sevastopol nightmare any more. I took Gixian's advice about all own VHs securing seriously and detached two units groups for each one. The rest of my core directed south along main 'road' in the mountain, when auxiliaries went to the southernmost of Yugoslavian VHs.
Soon many enemy partisan units appeared all around the map, proving that Gix was right. They ran easily across the mountain and were surprisingly hard to kill – even my 5-bar 15 sp. units frequently didn't do any visible damage. Pretty soon was obvious that walking slowly hex-by-hex I need the auxiliaries to complete they task on the south successfully to have real chance for BV. My core division took both, northern and central ones, a little before the limit, but auxies fought hardly to the end losing couple of units on the way. With some luck they managed to clear and take their objective just on time in the last BV turn.

That was easiest battle so far – just walk in the park. Got BV in turn 6 without any real fighting, 12 turns before the limit.
I don't understand designer's idea for this battle – looks like something didn't work properly or my division is just too strong now.

15. Djakovo
OS some units before the battle.
This one was more entertaining and BV was at risk. All VHs on the west side were captured with a safe time margin and defended successfully against some partisans activity, but the central one which needed to be taken by auxiliaries retreating from the east was more difficult. Luckily weakened defender retreated on its own and left the VH empty for the last BV turn. I didn't hesitate to exploit that chance immediatelly.

16. Cilli
Before the battle I spent 26pp on OS.
Wow, that was easiest one perhaps. Just “walk in the park” scenario literally. Finished in less than 10 minutes.
My fast task force (recon + both AM mortar and infantry) reached Yugoslavian VH in assistance of one auxiliary Jeager in turn 4 and captured it in the following round (one before BV limit).
The rest of my units had fun with enemies, which attacked from both flanks in the rear. They rather counterattacked, killing as many enemy units as possible, instead of escape according to orders received.
Despite successful battle result the war was ended and my division surrendered to clearly weaker Yugoslavian forces. Hm, what a shame, I was ready to fight some nasty Russians for a change.

Before the battle I spent 26pp on OS.
Wow, that was easiest one perhaps. Just “walk in the park” scenario literally. Finished in less than 10 minutes.
My fast task force (recon + both AM mortar and infantry) reached Yugoslavian VH in assistance of one auxiliary Jeager in turn 4 and captured it in the following round (one before BV limit).
The rest of my units had fun with enemies, which attacked from both flanks in the rear. They rather counterattacked, killing as many enemy units as possible, instead of escape according to orders received.
Despite successful battle result the war was ended and my division surrendered to clearly weaker Yugoslavian forces. Hm, what a shame, I was ready to fight some nasty Russians for a change.
